EU Parliament freezes US trade deal ratification after Trump's tariff threats over Greenland
It should be thrown away, together with the Digital Omnibus (which only favors US Big Tech).
Let's start all over when the idiot calms down.

Windows Games’ Compatibility on Linux Is at an All-Time High
I cannot wait for GamersNexus to agree on a testing framework for Linux and then see how many games will run actually better on Linux than on Windows, either native or through Wine/Proton.

I look at this and all I can think is "we can do better".

18% of people running Nextcloud don't know what database they are using
That is actually good news. Means that people more likely to be "normies" are adopting an alternative solution.

Greenland visit cancelled after locals refuse to welcome Usha Vance
I will repeat it: Greenlanders are very based.
If you are ever in Denmark, spend an hour to visit the Greenland museum, a huge raised middle finger of an exposition reminding everyone of Danish colonialism, placed right in the middle of Copenhagen.
They are not well treated by the Danes either, who only recently recognized them the right for translators in the Danish parliament.

Justice Department asks judge to order Google the "immediate" sale of Chrome

I must say that, as a European using a Firefox fork for my daily browsing while waiting for Ladybird, I don't see that outcome as completely negative: Google, somehow, in America has kept a completely unjustified good vibes feeling surrounding itself, while Thiel is much more evil in the public eye.
If Chrome is associated with him in anyway it can become a more lucid image of itself.

Firefox Will Ship with an "AI Kill Switch" to Completely Disable all AI Features - 9to5Linux
The real issue is not whether we are going to be force-fed this features or not, but the fact that a foundation with limited resources is going to spend any sizable amount of them developing a solution its users are not interested in.
Waiting for Ladybird at this point.

The contents of a jar of Nutella
I am Italian and, living in Scandinavia, apart from being mostly disgusted by the other chocolate spreads, I am always very surprised to see the office managers, offering breakfasts on select days, defaulting to a teaspoon in the Nutella jar.
I grew up with a taboo for that and the only way I would ever have Nutella is by scraping some with a knife-side and spreading it thinly on a slice of bread.
It's funny to see people do such things and then coming with the question: "you Italians have pasta, pizza and Nutella and you still manage to be so thin. How?!"
Check your portions.

Trump memorandum brands anti-fascism and opposition to capitalism as “domestic terrorism”
Ok, I am definitely not setting foot in the US for a long while. Let's be realistic, probably ever again.

Whoever invented the 12-hour clock never doubted that people will always know if it's day or night
AM/PM time is another thing that needs to sink with the USA, just like the Imperial system and Fahrenheit.

EU states can ban religious symbols in public workplaces
In Italy I was a member of UAAR (The Union of Rationalist Atheists and Agnostics) and we supported the legal costs of people battling against crucifixes in the workplace, compulsory prayers and even acoustic pollution caused by the church bells. This was in the late '90s to early '00s.

I am Italian and I beg the EU to ostracize Meloni and Orban as much as possible, especially in this crucial moment. As fascists and Putin puppets just like Trump, their simple plan is stall things long enough for Ukraine to be in an even worse situation.
