It's baffling how it's been over twenty years at this point and still essentially no one with influence has ever heard of the Streisand effect before. Like they're obviously delusional, but it's like their brains are sucked into vacuums.

Makes sense for people to think that (boy who cried wolf and all that), but it's really not all too questionable that a leader with such a low approval rating on top of being in one of the most pro-gun nations in the world is subject to relatively frequent assassination attempts. The main appeal of consoles is that you can essentially just plug and play without having to worry too much about extra configuration. As much as I like Linux, it’s generally not a good alternative for console folks who just want to relax and play video games.

And yet the illegal alcohol market boomed and it gave massive rise to organized crime and government corruption to allow it. It doesn’t “work” in any practical sense, it just concentrates the problem and makes it even harder to control.
