A lot of „leftist“ beliefs are really just basic human decency and that’s already too much for some people

How is content like this banned on .ml for being "political"?

I don’t think you quite understand how the Fediverse works.
Lemmy has no control over the instances. It only provides the format and connects the instances with each other. That is the „fed“-part. Federation. A central authority controlling how each instance moderates itself would defeat the point.
If you don’t like an instance, block it and move on. Nobody except the person who runs the server can do anything to change how they run it.

Can using neutral pronouns be misgendering? I was always under the impression that they’re universally applicable regardless of the other person’s gender

More specifically, Stalinist/Maoist/any-other-„communist“-tyrant-ist. It refers specifically to people who excuse/deny tyranny and oppression caused by anyone who calls themselves communist.

Merkel is pretty unpopular among the German left. There’s a lot of things she did wrong, but the big one is that she was a big reason for why Germany was dependent on Russian Gas for heating and electricity until the next government cut off the pipelines after they invaded the Ukraine.
Of course, there are also a lot of things she did right and she was probably a major factor in keeping Germany stable during the 16 years in which she was leading the country, but these kind of memes still seem a bit ignorant about her.

Yeah, and the AI meme is just a less funny version of the original meme, which is why I downvoted it.

A reference to the „biblically accurate angel“ meme, which is a bit hard to describe so I recommend just looking it up at seeing the pictures to get the reference

It worked perfectly fine on Windows. I have changed nothing and now a boot option which should’ve booted Windows from my regular hard drive somehow came back to the USB drive with Mint on it and booted as it should so 🤷♂️ I guess my motherboard is wonky?
Edit: now my Network isn’t working…
Edit 2: Got it to work now. Still don’t know what the issue was

This isn’t the worst possible outcome. It’s the most realistic one. The worst one would be publishers just straight up replacing their writers with AI

Ah, I heard about that. I recognized Proton’s and Apple’s self-inflicted bullshit, so I was afraid that Signal might have done something stupid to themselves as well
