The translated titles are ok-ish, I've seen some funny mistranslations but most of the time it's understandable. But the auto-dub is actually unwatchable. I think you should still be annoyed. By riding slowly in the fast lane, you are not encouraging people to ride more slowly; you are encouraging them to zip around the lanes which is extremely dangerous too. Further, many people might see a need to compensate for whatever speed they lost and accelerate even more. I would say that it is definitely not a good thing to do, not to mention that I don't think that it is even legal in my country

A bit besides the point, but I have been thinking about this.

I currently use duckduckgo. However I have two problems:

• Most of the results are usually SEO spam
• The page takes a ton of time to load

Google also has the first issue (though not nearly as much), and so do all its wrappers.

The only search engine that made me feel more or less like I was getting decent results was kagi (especially with the fact that I could block and report AI slop and block sites that I don't like), but that's just too expensive for me normally.

Hmm, I'm personally not sure whether I'd call it an allegiance. As far as I've seen, it's mostly about belonging to the group being talked about.

For instance, in the context of the comic "Men's egos can sometimes be fragile" would be parsed as "Your ego can sometimes be fragile" leading to an unconscious feeling of being attacked, which ultimately ends up in an emotional defensive response of trying to separate oneself from the group being talked about ("Not all men!") which, ironically, in this comic's context, only confirms what's being said.

This is also how I personally parse that woman and the bear thing. Men see themselves as the "random man" and feel personally attacked when someone picks the bear. Emotional defensive responses ensue.

Nevertheless, I still like the way you phrased it. And asking oneself whether one is what's being talked about might be a great way to dampen the unconcious response.

In overwatch EU servers (maybe in other similar games too), in my experience, in terms of pure toxicity hurled at you, having a french accent in comms manages to be even worse than having a female voice. I could understand this comment in the context of the app, and how people are making fun of it when its purpose is to try to solve such a common and awful problem in dating--but in the context of the comments of men venting here, it really just sounds like you're invalidating their experiences just because they're not women.

Obviously rust cannot prevent all bugs or even most of them. It can only prevent a small subset of bugs, but saying that that "small subset of bugs" wouldn't happen to seasoned programmers is just wrong, especially when you have tons of programmers working on the same big project.

I don't mean to say that rust is always the correct choice, but that you're waving off its greatest offering as bicycle training wheels (i.e. something no seasoned programmer would need)

"This isn't this--it's that" is an extremely common AI sentence structure, further exposed by the fact that the part before the em-dash doesn't even make sense to begin with. No one was asking themselves whether it was part of subtle venue security.

As a sidenote, sometimes I read sentences like this and I wonder "could this ever even have been written by a human?" I think that there's a very low chance that this article didn't have at least some amount of AI involved, but I know that somewhere out there there must be some people who actually write like this. And that's kind of sad.

Just a heads-up, regardless of the reason (might even have been accidental) it's not a very healthy thing to be looking this deeply into upvotes or downvotes. Some twerps are always going to downvote the most agreeable statement, or upvote the most eggregious one. Trying to jump into conclusions about why that one person might have downvoted the post is a futile waste of time that might very well make you reach conclusions that are just not grounded in reality and further dwindle your faith in humanity for no reason at all...

I believe it's AI slop. I checked until 2012 and unless I missed something, there isn't a single year where the list goes "France, Turkey, Canada, Indonesia." In proper AI fashion, it looks correct at first glance but the further you go the worse it tends to get. The information could be from another source, but the hammer in china tells me otherwise.
