Paper is the new privacy measure.
Walking some home with their consent (or consent of their guardian) is not a crime.
Following someone home is stalking.

Amateur Paramilitary taser 'Big Juan' for resisting in Mt. Prospect. Surprisingly, 'Little Juan' ends up putting up a much bigger fight.
The sneakers and jeans are evidence these "officers" were conscripted from the street or volunteered. Professional cops and unarmed security guards wear boots.
In Steven Pinkers book, The Better Angels of Our Nature, he describes conscripted soldiers and police as more prone to unnecessary violence and unlawful use of force.
In the video we can see one detainee forced to watch another get tased.
There is a clear lack of skill in handling the detainees. It is better to lift and lead someone by the armpits than by the arm: it avoids dislocating the arm. When done from behind, they can't hit you.

Pennsylvania, USA is trying to stop HOAs from banning native plant gardens.
I had a thought the other day:
If your HOA sues you and YOU WIN, they (usually) have to pay your attorney fees in addition to their own.
But...you're part of the HOA. Your dues will go up to cover the costs of a stupid lawsuit that you beat.

Italy moves to restrict sex education amid growing feminicide outrage | Euractiv
Context: Giuseppe Valditara, Education secretary, is a male, 64;
Giorgia Meloni, Prime minister, is a female, 48. Pic related.
She tabled the bill to continue limiting sex-ed.
Opinion: Progress. Although killing your partner is not directly related to sex-ed, sex-ed is generally good. Students learn hygiene and STI prevention.
I don't study these curriculums, but the class I took didn't mention homosexuals or gender roles. Gender id and transgender weren't in pop culture, but I doubt it is included today.
Edit: Sorry guys, I read the article poorly.
Giorgia Latini, not Giorgia Meloni (prime minister), tabled the measure. It isn't clear from the article if the measure was tabled before or after the Valditara's amendment was approved. And Giorgia Meloni weighed in on gender theory, not necessarily sex ed.
I can't seem to determine from this article if sex education will be limited more or not, just that it is an issue for debate in Italy.

house rule
House was a diagnostician. His job and passion was solving the mystery. Patients have to give consent to recieve treatment.
That said, House avoided scans whenever necessary because they almost always showed benign tumors. He preferred identifing possible diseases through symtomatic analsys (discussing with whiteboard) and using diagnostic trials (trying a treatment) to eliminate remaining possibilities.
I want a series reboot.🤩

As Thalfon said, the Carbon 14 decays at a predictable rate.
So where does the starting quantity come from?
Radiation from space (probably cosmic rays) interacting with the atmosphere causes some of the atoms to become a different isotope. Plants integrate C14 into their sugars and cellulose, and when they are dead and buried by sediment, no more C14 is integrated. While buried, the plant matter is sheilded from further radiation, the C14 decays at a predictable rate, and we measure that. Meanwhile, underground carbon like coal and oil is also sheilded from radiation and doesn't get converted to C14; instead any C14 decays into C12. Thus the problem with Carbon dating after the industrial revolution.

If not Iran's rocket, then why rocket shaped?
Seems to me the Artemis rocket would be uncachable going to fast to be caught by the time it is near Kuwait.

The Wealth of Nations made convincing arguments that mercantilism wasn't the most effecient system. Paid laborers cost less than slaves. Hoarding [gold] bullion makes it abundant in your country, thus less valuable.
It may be time for the next system. The manifesto will need arguments that appeal to one's pragmatism rather than sense of charity (48 Laws of Power, Law 13, Robert Greene).

Yes, but
The way people behave in airport bathrooms bothers me. The bathroom gets cleaned 5 times a day and people still use a mountain of tp on the seat and flush the toilet with their foot like a bunch of homo zombies with norovirus just rode the handle.
But if you must do the above, in any restroom with soap, wash your hands afterwards. You'd want your doctor to.

This is dumb. You can't let delivery guys/gals up into the hallways unaccompaioned in an apartment building this size. You have to go down to the front door

Romans wearing pants wasn't acceptable, that's what the barbarians did.
This only changed in Byzantium, after the Visigoths sacked rome in 476. (https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/trousers-pants-roman-history-banned-trajan)

Pretty much. But if you need to test it, you can buy another drive and install linux and your games there. If it doesn't work, you can use the extra drive for something else.
In Steam on Linux, use settings to enable Experimental or Proton for Windows games.
Edit: This is computer science, you must report your findings!

If the Americans put kill switches in gear they sold to Canada, that is a reason for Canada to NOT buy more gear with kill switches. Instead, Canada should resecure their supply chain of military equipment.
