They were stuck for 10 minutes and needed to be directed from the outside. It's maybe not that long, but they struggled with figuring it out. Source (in Norwegian, this happened in Oslo): https://www.vg.no/nyheter/i/3pkoP9/busser-fast-paa-alexander-kiellands-plass-i-oslo

Some tech-related things I personally use instead of their american counterparts
Not sure it's a good idea to recommend Arch Linux to newbies migrating from Windows; maybe prioritize Mint or similar?

Cause they can't!1!
But for real, for those who are curious: the border between Germany and Poland is effectively the border between western and eastern Europe. So to Slav people Germans lived right over there, and yet spoke something incomprehensible; so we called them "mute" (in Poland at least). If I can't understand you you are mute to me, basically. And the word for "Germans" is the same as for "Germany", so we call the country itself mutes 😅

When someone wants you dead you don't provoke them, you give them an incentive to not killl you. Plus it gives you the satisfaction of having them in a checkmate.

How many of you use Lemmy and ONLY use Lemmy vs Reddit?
I wouldn't consider exclusively using Lemmy for social media "hardcore". Let's be real, people don't use social media because the content is important. I use Lemmy when I need a break and such, see some memes, read an interesting article someone posted. And Reddit sometimes turns up when I search for opinions on products, solutions for maintaining my home, stuff like that. Usually just useful, old posts. I keep in contact with people I actually know through private chats, mostly Signal. What else do you need?

What's up with media mentions of Period Trackers so much, do women need a special calendar or something to actually know when thats going to happen and plan around it?
In addition to what have been said in other comments, it's useful to track your period for any serious irregularities. Your period can tell a lot about the state of your body, and those can be a sign of illness and such. For example, missed periods are very common in eating disorders; it might be a wake up call in many cases.

It's a study; I imagine they controlled for age and other factors if the article states the study "found", not "suggested" or similar looser term. It's not an opinion, but a result of a scientific process. Your dislike for term "gamer fact", even if it's a bit cringe, doesn't change that.

Yeah, the modern society teaches us that if we have any problems, be it health, financial or anything else, it's all fixable and we are supposed to fix it. Yet there is so much we don't have control over. Mental health problems are especially hard to tackle, as there are so few options, they are expensive, time consuming and often don't really help.
