75% More Pedestrians Have Been Killed Since 2009. Giant Trucks and SUVs Are Why

Reply in thread

You're right it's a lose lose. Personally I'm in the camp of not wasting money on a poorly thought out truck (maverick) and just go rent one for the 1 time in 5 years I'll need a bed. I had a big truck that was just enough to tow my RV (lived full time to save money for a home) and now that I don't live in an RV full time that bitch was sold. Hello New world of tiny EV. :)

I had this near exact situation happen. I turned around and in a calm tone told her “I need to to stop trying to do my job over my shoulder and if that’s an issue I can get my director to come and resolve this for you” (my it director and her were buddies) she became silent in shock I assume. Resolved the issue a minute later (video feed issue). Walked back to my office and got fired for my comment 2 hours later.

Not really. If -f (force) is removed windows will shutdown similar to pressing the shutdown button and will wait for your input regarding open programs. -f is needed to just just “do it” with no hesitation or response from the user.

Traveling full time in the USA, I have run into issues where I didn’t know I bopped on over to a new timezone. This is more important as my work hours always stay EST. I more than anything want a simple option to have my alarm go off at a time set with a specified timezone instead of off the time on my phone.

Or you could leave someone’s expensive purchase alone. They could have bought it second hand, have a spouse purchase it for them, given as a gift, or bought it before we saw the shot show unfold. Because someone has purchased x product doesn’t mean they are of the exact mind. Yes they didn’t vote with their wallet like we would hope but you don’t know peoples situation.
