I'm planning to build a Linux gaming PC. Any suggestions?
I get better performance on Linux than Windows.
The significantly lower system overhead more than makes up for the translation layer.
I mostly game on Steam, occasionally Lutris. The only thing that just plain wouldn't work was Control from Gog - I probably could have gotten it to work if I played with the configuration. But I didn't really care that much.

Do not dban an SSD.
SSDs do not physically store data the way platter drives do. It may reduce the lifespan of the drive.
There are other methods for securely erasing SSDs.

I agree with all of that, except for the part about people being focused on trying to stop the next one.
If anyone was actually serious about that, we wouldn't average more than one per day across the U.S.
