Obvious choice

I don’t think it is intentional on OP’s part, but this is really well-disguised fossil fuel propaganda. Carport solar is way more expensive than ground-mounted, and it isn’t viable for utility-scale projects. Should we do carport solar? Absolutely! But we also really need utility scale solar.

And if you put it on marginal farm land and make the ground cover pollinator-friendly, it actually improves yields on nearby farms without any real loss, since that land wasn’t great for growing food anyway. (Not to mention that cropland is about the furthest thing from a natural ecosystem)

So others know they're safe

It’s so important. Seeing pride flags up tells me that I’m safe in that part of town. And who knows, maybe me having my flag up will make it so that other queer people will think about moving onto my street and start flying theirs too

Girlfriend

So real. My wife is amazing and so supportive, I’m lucky to have her ❤️

I’m not out to everyone yet, and I feel bad she has to keep switching back to misgendering and deadnaming me whenever we go home to see family, I know it’s not easy

Repression is a terrible thing. I'm proud of anyone who grew past

I am deeply ashamed of my religious past. I believed and said some truly horrible things. My church and school were my whole world, and it was very conservative and very Catholic.

And so when I was a teenager, I started using those beliefs to justify projecting hatred towards women and queerness. Probably to deflect the bullying that came my way for being very clearly not a “normal boy”, in hindsight.

That’s no excuse though, I should have done better. I’m glad that my views improved dramatically once I went to college and deconverted, but I still really regret that I certainly hurt people.

And I still kinda long for and mourn the childhood and teenage years of the person I wish that I had been but wasn’t.

For way too long I thought “I don’t understand why everyone gets so bent out of shape about trans people. Being a girl is clearly so much better, trans women are just the lucky ones who get to transition. It’s just a shame that I’m not trans, so I can’t transition and be a girl”

A few years, and a few realizations, later, here we are lol
