Eyes/brain more sensitive to brightness than colour. Black+white border is bright, is updated in the brain quickly, dim image of Patrick is updated more slowly. Discrepancy causes percieved movement.

Just about every Windows and Linux device vulnerable to new LogoFAIL firmware attack
I want my computer to run an open-source BIOS/UEFI but the set of systems supported by projects like Libreboot is unfortunately rather limited.

Why are there loads of unnamed bluetooth devices around me?
Reply in thread
It varies. Some of them use Bluetooth Low Energy, some of them use other wireless techniques for lower power and greater range.

How do you feel about these types of surcharges?
If the workers are working on a holiday, they should be paid more. The business can afford that by charging more on those days. Makes sense to me. (Strictly in the scenario where the business is compensating their workers fairly from the profits. If they're just making profit hand over fist they can get stuffed)
I hate credit card surcharges though. Nobody uses cash.

Opinions: What is a movie you genuinely like, that is rated below 60% on rotten tomatoes?
Arq (2016) has a 43% rating. I loved it.

Curb Your Enthusiasm and Crusader Kings III. Sounds good tbh, I'd watch that
Witcher 2 / Futurama.

Each board has to be added manually, I presume they all have intricacies around initialising hardware and it seems most of that is kept in binary blobs and I don't really understand I just wish it was like openwrt and worked anywhere
