For everyone new to Lemmy, how are you finding the experience?

So far im still confused, but I’ve learned a lot in the time I’ve been here, so i think I’ll come around. I feel like the main issue I personally have is population of communities and actually finding communities. Ive found a couple ill look at in an asklemmy thread and im sure itll grow over time, but I personally dont have much I can contribute yet, so im not sure how much I can do personally.

What caused the massive exodus to lemmy.ml?

Just from looking at introductory stuff, I get a weird vibe. Several pages of just reading about it and positivity and how the rule(s) are vague/broad for a reason and its a little offputting. Im sure im just overreacting or something, and im sure everyone there is actually super nice, but ive always been slow to trust, and beehaw sets off alarm bells for me. Do wanna reiterate tho, everyone there does seem very friendly and im sure its great.

Say hi, don't be shy

My first console was the PS2! My favorite game was Ratchet and Clank: Up your Arsenal (thats Ratchet and Clank 3 for those outside of the US). I think its underrated, and I know there are moreso underrated titles, but it did not get as big as it should have IMO. I dont use my playstations much anymore, as I have a PC now, but playing in turns with my brother is probably my fondest memories.

How are you feeling right now (gaming-wise)?

I have put destiny 2 on the backburner recently since lightfall came out. I had plenty of frustration before that but the actual state of the game after that was so bad I just had to take a step back from it. Played a bunch of single player games and have been having a blast with them. My only issue is a lot of my friends from destiny keep going back, and I kinda feel compelled to join again. Not that I hate it, I just made a new build i love, but it has departed from its best moments.
