Because they don't know the limits of their tools and were convinced they're infallible, and as a result an innocent woman was punished by the state. Just a guess.

I would usually agree with this kind of normalization, but in this case I actually think it would actually obfuscate the picture. Safer roads are a good thing, but if traffic deaths are reduced because more people bike or take the train, that's still a win. Roads and cars are inherently dangerous, and that danger needs to be minimized using multiple strategies. We need to focus on holistic changes that consider people's behaviour and their interactions with the built environment.

When people feel they absolutely need to drive, that's a failure of infrastructure.

She's being racist AF but it's indeed something approaching a logical conclusion, just not the one she's intending. After reading all the hate that one transracial woman got years ago, I realized it sounded an awful lot like the standard TERF rehoritic. Gener is a construct, and so is race. The existence of transgender people almost necessitates the existence of transracial people. I'd love to hear a counter argument, because I'm not sure a good one exists...
