Share why you're still a Star Citizen
I don’t really play much now (I gotta upgrade my pc) But I read about the game in a magazine and thought “that looks cool” and bought the starter pack. Just the amazing scale but also detail is what pulled me in. And it still amazes me.

Carlos Alcaraz beats Novak Djokovic over 5 sets to win Wimbledon
Absolutely magnificent match. Might be the absolute best I’ve watched ever. Those 13 deuces were incredible.

Funny how it makes you feel old because this was only like 6 years ago. I never had demo discs growing up, I’m too young for that :)

It’s considered a very lgbtq+ friendly community, and it announced closing entirely in the wake of the Reddit blackout, so a lot of its members have come here to Lemmy.

Russian State Duma passes bill banning ‘sex change’
To be honest I’m surprised it wasn’t banned already. Still horrible that countries and states do this stuff.

Ha! Sadly CGP grey loves his teslas and cars. His video about how self driving cars are the future shows a dystopian idea where pedestrians or cyclists have no space on the roads at all. (And he doesn’t even consider trains or other public transit)

the standard is made by the World Wide Web Consortium, which I trust to not let facebook take control of their standard. They also manage standards like HTML, CSS and SVG

The way base 12 would work is that you’d add 2 characters and you would write “12” as 10. Which looks really confusing because we’re all used to base 10. If you were then to do 1010 in base 12 (so in base10 that would be 1212) you’d get 100 (144 in base10) so this still stands whatever base you use.

FYI, Lemmy and Kbin are Progressive Web Apps, meaning you can install them as regular apps to your phone's home screen

If you use iOS, you can add it to a home screen tab and then hide the tab and it will still appear in the app library.
