Sex is too important to be left to porn.

Not saying this guy in particular is right, but I hate this attitude that "porn exists so we shouldn't have sex, or nudity, or anything horny in other art forms". We shouldn't treat people like creeps just because they want more horny in mainstream art.

I find the current cinema trend of "everyone is beautiful, but no one is horny" far creepier than the rampant sexualization in old 80s movies.

Again, I'm not defending this particular guy - I'm criticizing the response, which is an attitude that's prevelant today, especially amongst the youth. A lot of people hate on sex/nudity of any form in mainstream art, and their argument is generally "just go watch porn you creeps".

Maybe Supergirl specifically shouldn't be sexualized (even though she's sexualized in most of the source material I remember), but if so, let's come up with a better reason than "a containment genre exists for sex, and if you want to see it escape that box then you're a degenerate!".

I do find it uncanny how consistently this happens. I won't speculate as to why or if it's good or bad - but I do find it really off-putting when I'm trying to relax and recuperate after sex, and suddenly I'm getting slapped with some existential question or interrogation about the nature of our relationship (even after getting married).

Joe Rogan wants a "debate" on vaccine science. Don’t give it to him. How to have better conversations about contentious scientific subjects.

If he really wanted a fair debate he'd do it in a properly moderated forum like Intelligence squared. Or better yet a written debate where both sides could properly research their responses and provide sources.

What he wants is to Gish Gallop a scientist in a friendly environment with an idiot moderator that couldn't fact check his way through a 3rd graders homework.

Do you feel sad for people born today?

What an odd take. Reproducing is arguably the #1 motivation, and purpose, of all life on this planet. Biologically anyway. You're taking issue with a fundamental trait of life that's baked into our DNA.

May as well deem people selfish for wanting food and shelter too.

I'm happy with my hybrid schedule. Some tasks are faster or easier on-prem, and I get a chance to socialize and get out of my house. I also think its beneficial for people to see my face a couple times a week to remind them that I exist and am contributing.

If I was 100% remote I'd degenerate to full on hermit mode.
