People who work in food service or customer service: What’s the dumbest thing a customer ever insisted was “the law” or “illegal”?

Reply in thread

I watched a guy get kicked out of the Costco food court area because he kept saying his dog was an "licensed" ESA. The Costco manager busted out a little card with the relevant federal laws for a service animal and listed all the rules the dog was breaking by lunging at people, not staying under the table, and barking it's head off at a real service animal that was just sitting calmly under it's owners table like nothing was going on around it.

Even if your dog is truly a licensed and trained service animal, but you've allowed it to continously break all the rules it's supposed to follow in a private business. They can still kick you out if your dog doesn't behave like it's supposed to be behaving. That's why it's a big no no to interact with working animals with their vests on and for owners to let their working animals to break the rules repeatedly by misbehaving and never correcting them.

As of today, March 9, this is officially the new flag of Utah

Since you haven't received a serious answer yet...

Utah is self reffered to as the Beehive State because Brigham Young originally wanted to name it "Deseret" from the Book of Mormon. "Deseret" in LDS teachings means "Honeybee". This was meant to show that the Mormon settlers were hardworking, industrious, and self reliant.

This obviously didn't fly for a ton of reasons and they didn't have much of a choice after the Union Army basically chased them halfway across the country and then took a foothold right alongside them in the territory to make sure they didn't establish a Theocratic state.

Have you ever been to a movie so terrible that you saw people leaving the theater? Which one was it?

Reply in thread

So I went and saw it on a weekend with a buddy just because we liked seeing movies. We went into it with no idea what it was about besides "epic dragon movie". I watched so many fans of the book get up angrily about 35 minutes in and storm out.

We talked to one of the theatre employees and they said that they had never received so many refund requests for a bad film before Eragon.

I understand the first three, but I have to fundamentally disagree with you as much as humanly possible on Rogue One being terrible. I absolutely respect your right and and opinion to think so, but for me it's one of the best representations of what Star Wars should be in the space fiction genre.

What was it about Rogue One that bothered you so much that you couldn't finish?

In the Pokrovsk direction, soldiers from the 110th Mechanized Brigade shot down a Russian Su-25 aircraft.

It's crazy to me that there were people truly out there in the world talking firmly out of their ass saying that Russia's current and last gen fighters could go toe to toe with their counterparts in the US Air Force. All you have to do is look at pictures like this and you can see almost zero corrosion control and preventative maintenance is performed on their most important aircraft in the fleet.

Makes you question what the hell all their maintainers are doing each and every day while these things sit around and rust. I imagine the only time they get any tlc is when they get rolled out for photo ops or fly overs for VE day.
