Anon tells you about The Tragedy of Anakin Skywalker

Reply in thread

Because the jedi aren't the good guys. I've said it for years they're designed as the righteous side of the same coin of the Sith. Always rambling about balance and such then willingly submitting as the lapdog police force of the bloated and corrupt Republic, only taking action when their masters need a war. It's thousands of years of moral objectivity gone wrong through the eyes of dogma fanatics who've lost their way.

Even Luke's revival (fuck off Disney) is bound to fail.

The allure of a good stick

Women will never know the instinctual urge of a man and his need for a good stick. You can walk with them, you can sharpen them into spears, you can have a good thrashing, play with your pet.

The gentleman's utility.

Since we're railing on corporate America...

Reply in thread

We try and then it's taken over by corrupt lazy union bosses that don't actually help or the company just fires you under an at will employment lie and hires scabs. The government has essentially been infiltrated by corporate American to pass legislation allowing them to break unions easier. Lobbying is our problem, not the lack of unions atm.

Over half of Congress would be indicted on corruption if we really gave a shit about threats to our society like the current political theatre claims.

Microsoft CEO Nadella's compensation drops... to $48M — CEO to employee pay ratio hits 250 to 1

Reply in thread

It's better to place the burden on the company as a whole per revenue than per CEO pay differential. Amazon for example made somewhere in the 500 billion dollars in revenue for 2022 but for all ~1.5m employees only spent ~42 billion on salaries for an average of ~28k a year.

They have so much ample revenue to use for increased salaries that goes unanswered.

What's got you happy this week?

I think it's more that most of these issues would never actually reach the CEO if brought up through standard channels. Some bs middle management explanation of why it's not possible, even though they never passed it up. CEOs are still people, and if they just randomly receive an actual personal email that wasn't debated over by a board meeting or considered inconsequential by people they hired to micromanage, they're likely to just say fuck it why not.

For such a gorgeous game Alan Wake 2 runs surprisingly well on budget graphics cards

Dogshit take to say Steam monopoly while actively praising platform exclusivity. Sorry we like the option to use our personal favorite digital platform where our entire library is unified and not the safety helmet wearing little cousin where we're supporting Tim Sweeney.

There's a reason Steam outclasses every other platform and it's far from being a greedy monopoly. They uh, get close for this one, make a better product. Uplay, Origin, EGL, they all fucking suck in comparison of features and usability. Valve literally just gives a shit about the consumer first.

Can anyone confirm

Reply in thread

No, but Warcraft was intended to be a Warhammer Fantasy game. Similar races but in space, 40000 years in the future, humans hate everyone else and everyone else hates them. Also there are gods in a parallel universe that influence and make everything suck as they represent atrophy. Kinda like the lich but there are 4 of them representing pestilence, war, deviancy, and change and just like to fuck with the mortals.

This is more grimdark, everything sucks, and everyone is afraid of the technology because Dad god says it's scary, except the tech priests who worship the technology and are only allowed to do so because without them the Empire's industrial military complex collapses.

It's pretty cool

Aren't properly bracketed* or properly incentivized for the less wealthy*.

Taxes at this moment are more than high enough for lower to middle class, but that's the class who can't spend millions in tax write offs through charity and 'expenses' or hire financial advisors and managers. Also the class who sees the least return on investment through federal tax usage despite making up the most of collection.

Make the government fear your anger again.
