Hi, something you might want to check before releasing; several current Lemmy apps are having trouble displaying lists of very large images. Either they try to load them all in one go, instead of going for the thumbnail as a preview (causing the app to crash), or they only get the preview and then don't show the full size when opening.

What stops you from adding it now? It's safe to add mid game.

You can disable it in the mod settings, so you'll have it ready for your next run (it will auto-enable when you start a new map). In the mean time, you can make a fancy render to post on rimworld.gallery

It is a kbin server, and you're speaking to the admin🙂. (Replying to @[email protected] as well). Both jpgs are the full size images, not thumbnails. There is no imageviewer, I've disabled it because it had trouble displaying on Iphones and zooming issues on other mobiles. So, when you call the url, you get the raw 33MB jpg. So I'd think it should be possible to display it as is?

I'm in using microsoft Edge, probably the only browser I was sure had never seen you site and I am in. But that's a lot of browser to clear.. I am using firefox, chrome, opera, vivaldi, connect on android. I can now log in using android again. Let's try firefox

Judging by the time it takes to download the pictures (after clearing the app cache) I'd say the full pictures are indeed downloaded

Sorry for the very late response. Most instances don't allow such large image uploads, rimworld.gallery renders can be up to 30MB. But still, thumbnails should be shown instead of the full image

Yes, it's opening thumbnails instead of the actual images. The actual images are >20mb in size and very high detail (and take much longer to load)

No, in Connect this is in the timeline. It goes straight for the full size images. It's the latest Google play version

This is interesting now that I'm thinking about it. if you get the same from another instance, are the thumbnail and regular url different? The fact that the viewer is disabled my side should not influence the actual uris presented to the outside world, I'd think.

Oh, misunderstood you there, my bad. Hope you can figure it out. Could you check for me if another kbin instance, on another channel with images, does give you two urls though? I'm curious if it's supposed to be like this (2x same url)
