I don't think that poisoning really works. They have AIs judge the answers before they incorporate them into the new AI. They can tell the best topping for pizza isn't actually mayonnaise and strawberries

How many programmers DON'T use AI to some degree already? As the technology continues to improve adoption and usage will only increase. Actually hand coding stuff is soon to be a mostly lost craft.

70s from within your own party, especially Republicans, is pretty freaking bad. He wasn't impeached over tariffs in 2018.

Man arrested after 'dressing as Grim Reaper' at hospital and staring at patients
I'm very tall and one time I was in my 97 year old grandmother's room because I'd had to use her bathroom and she was half awake and said, "No! Go away!" and I was like, damn, ok. But I think she thought I was Death! :/
She was the best. So close to MLK during the Dream speech that she sat on the steps and couldn't see him. Black Panthers would salute her white self. The best. I asked her what the most impactful technology she'd seen in her lifetime was and she said, "the next one." So cool. There's a picture of her and her crew with Jimmy Carter and she's standing in front of him. What a badass.

I find that a frontier bot pointed at the internet does a lot better job of answering the question than I do when searching on my own. I mean they're always going to be wrong about some stuff, but aren't people? I think that's generally a better metric. And at this point they're far away from what they were just a few years ago. But you're correct in that there is an element of brute forcing them or at least shaping them that has to occur that I can't blame anyone for tapping out of.

They tend to work much better when you point them at things. Hallucination rates go way, way down when they aren't pulling from their "memory." They are, also, like you say, wrong in ways that are noticeable and often "interesting" in the Ibsen way. I also doubt that you could get the same experience for less money. I'd have to go back to college to get the education I'm getting with AI. At least community college. It's a lot of near-experts at once. And when you point it at expert literature it basically is a senile college professor. But yeah the senile part of that statement is pretty important.

Back then, people lost minds because a president wore a tan suit
Man they put out an anti-terrorism thing where they straight up said, "We will find you, and we will kill you." About Americans with a marginalized political identity (Anarchism, in this case), and it straight up wasn't in NYT AT ALL.

Americans are a very friendly people, all things considered. The whole smiling at everyone you see, helping out strangers for fun thing is not universal. Thus, this post.

I could believe it. It's not that it's unique to America, or anything. But like I've read stories about Dutch people for instance thinking Americans on public transportation were simple, due to all the smiling and the like.

No I think this is true. Some "defense industry" people play magic at my LGS and they've been talking about this obliquely.

To add to this, you can generate lists of likely emails of CEOs and yell at them and get free stuff. ATT gave me 6 free months and a free phone. They actually have to have done some bullshit, though. But channel your inner Karen. It's okay when you aim it at the C suite instead of the store manager.

Golf courses use 30x the water that data centers use. Lawns, 100x. Standby mode for appliances costs more energy, by a lot. I wonder how much carbon emissions are offset by people no longer driving to work at call centers and the like.
Out of curiosity do you eat meat? .2% of water is used on data centers. 9.8% is used on beef. For carbon emissions one pound of beef consumed is equivalent to about 640,000 prompts.
AI is an environmental concern but the way people act about it is straight up ridiculous.
Edit: I am very proud of all of the vegans who unplug their appliances who are downvoting me. I, too, am a vegan who unplugs their appliances.
