be gay, do crimes (in space)

Actually, there was a high profile and notorious case of a female NASA astronaut and Naval officer named Lisa Nowak, who was placed on trail and convicted of felony burglary and misdemeanor assault charges. This all stemmed from an affair she was having with a fellow astronaut named Bill Oefelein, who both of them were married to different people at the time.

When Bill decided to call the affair off and started to see another woman, an Air Force Captain named Colleen Shipman. Lisa had an emotional breakdown and after her own marriage had failed. Planned on possibly kidnapping Colleen. She was eventually arrested at Orlando International Airport that she had followed Colleen to. Besides the criminal convictions listed above, she was dismissed from NASA and demoted in rank and forcibly retired from the Navy.

This speaks for itself

That's because the nature of the marketing model has changed. Mcdonald's has shifted their marketing demographic to exclusively adults due to the decades of growing backlash and lawsuits over the nutritional value and predatory practices of targeting children. Among many other controversies. Of all the businesses in any industry, this is probably one of the worst examples to give.

Yes, their's truth from an architectural stance that does show a shift to contemporary minimalism. But McDonald's, while perhaps not the most inherently evil company in the world, at least by the amount of true harm they purposely do or the product they provide and those who voluntary choose to consume it. Is still a reflection of many of the United State's problems. Everything from issues concerning wages, labor relations, nutritional literacy, and lifestyle practices, to name a few.

Linux gamers on Steam finally cross over the 3% mark

I would say the next biggest hurdle that Linux gaming has to overcome besides market saturation is the compatibility with Triple-A multiplayer games and getting major developers on board. Franchises like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Rainbow Six Siege make up a large percentage of the hard-core video game player base and are incompatible with Linux due to their Windows level cornel anti-cheat or similar issues.

Lifehack

This may be the finest example of a combination of psychological and physical birth control that I have ever seen. If taking off your shoes indoors is that much of a barrier to you in your life. You deserve to remain single.

Megathread: Charlie Kirk Shot at Utah Valley University Event

Whoever the identity of the assassin is, they are clearly a good marksman. According to reports, they made that shot about 600 feet away from the rooftop of a nearby building. While Kirk was stationary most of the time, they landed a clean kill to the jugular with just one bullet and then made a quick getaway. That's Lee Harvey Oswald levels of accuracy. While I wouldn't estimate that the assassin was a hired professional. They likely have seasoned experience with firearms or possibly military or police training.

I disagree. I am in no way a fan of Amazon. But there are some niche products that are only sold through the platform by the supplying vendor or are so specialized that there's really no other retailer that is going to make an effort to list it for sale.

The Fediverse Isn’t the Future. It’s the Present We’ve Been Denied.

Listen, I am a Lemmy supporter at the highest level. I believe that the Fediverse model for social media is the next step in evolution for the industry. But Lemmy itself, in terms of the front end, is a near exact copy of Reddit. And was created, at least in part, with the idea that from the beginning, it couldn't be heavily monetized and become a profit-driven and publicly traded company. That it wouldn't sacrifice the quality of the product and lead to the enshittification of the service like so many other digital offerings.

But currently, if you were to compare Reddit and Lemmy. Reddit's digital content offerings are significantly better than Lemmy's. Which makes sense. Reddit has been around for much longer than Lemmy and is much more known by the general public. It has a much larger user base as a result. Which for a user generated content platform is everything when it comes to the pool of individuals that can generate and submit interesting content.

Sometimes the grass is greener

There's no need for any of that. There's plenty of higher-end grooming products marketed to both men and women, or even gender neutral, that can be purchased nowadays. And yes, if the price point is your greatest concern, it's a factor to consider. But shaving brands for men such as Proraso is great quality for the price point. Why more people settle for brands like Gillette when there are better products on the market at or even lower in price is beyond me.

What a mess

I recommend purging the vengeful ghost or whatever evil spirit is haunting that place and getting out of whatever rural or abandoned town that building is located in. It's likely in the upper northeast or midwest and would be the kind of place that Stephen King would set his next novel in.

I am not saying that I don't agree with you. But this country is still not even close to considering nationalizing its own telecommunication infrastructure. Much less a privately held space company and a service of communication satellites. A large chunk of America believes that a for-profit business model for every good and service possible in life is the best course of action.

Troops Will Miss Paychecks Next Week Without Action on the Government Shutdown

Historically, one of the most effective ways to motivate or change people's minds is to put their methods and means of making money at risk.

Not paying your military properly is also one of the worst acts that civilian leadership can do that will create a divide in authority with loyalty, discipline, and morale.

Many of the greatest massacres committed by military forces throughout antiquity were caused because their members decided to go AWOL and mutiny because the state and its leadership were unable or unwilling to pay their military members the wealth they were promised.
