This is why I have 4 different apps to surf Lemmy. When one app is acting up I just switch to another. For example I was just barely scrolling in Jerboa but getting a bunch of network errors so I switched to Connect which is where I'm posting this comment. I'm totally down with being patient with Lemmy for the time being. Anything to get away from R*****

I saw a post on reddit a while back from the developers of Ableton. Someone asked in the subreddit if they had permission to pirate the program because they are in high school still and don't have the money to purchase the $600+ program but really wanted to start making music using that DAW. A developer responded saying something along the lines of "We'd prefer you pirate our program to start learning and being creative instead of using another DAW. Then, when you start making a profit on your music you created with the pirated program set some aside and eventually purchase Ableton." This creates lifetime loyalty tbh. These developers know that they'd rather you use their programs via pirating because they know if those users like it enough they will eventually purchase it. This is exactly what I did. I pirated the program and released some songs until I hade the money to purchase it myself.

I also recently started pirating again. The cost is too damn high for all these streaming platforms, not to mention a lot of the base packages have ads/commercials (gross). I use Stremio+Torrentio+Real Debrid (which is insanely cheap compared to purchasing 6 different streaming platforms). Until there is a massive change to how media is circulated this is gonna be my setup.

Tbh I never really commented or upvoted anything on reddit. I was always a lurker but when I started with the fediverse I feel like I can actually interact for some reason

I just barely had to go get a new phone because my Note20 broke. Was hoping they'd have another in stock but of course not. That's waaaaaay to outdated 🙄 so I got the s23 or whatever. We moved all my data from my old phone to my new one. Once it updated everything I had 12 "new" apps and games installed. Wtf. Deleted most, but some are so damn hidden and protected. Samsung truly makes you know you don't own your own device.

I love the community here and am excited to see it grow. Thanks for giving a report, it awesome how invested y'all are and makes me want to stick with this instance even through the hardships. Keep up the good stuff!

Been there before. We recently had a semi truck tip and spill thousands of frozen French fries across all lanes of the highway. They closed it completely down for hours. People were literally reversing on the highway to back up to the nearest exit. It was terrible

The problem is without the medication, I absolutely cannot stand friends family or social connections and would prefer to put a gun in my mouth. It depends on the outlook of things, yes therapy and understanding your inner demons is a huge step in dealing with your personal issues, but the psych medication gives just that little extra boost to keep me sane.

I don't let the doctor dictate what I take, I use his advice and figure out what best works for me so that I may live a somewhat happy life knowing I'm not gonna go over the deep end. In conclusion, I agree with taking medication, as long as it is to HELP (not replace) with what you learn in therapy.
