To quote a commenter on Ars:
"Freedom of speech for me, not for thee"
That sums it up quite accuratly.

‘I’m Not Looking For a Deal’: Trump Says EU Tariffs Staying At Fifty Percent
Ok EU, time to bring out the big guns. Someone call Airbus for an obsolete A380 and tell him we will send it to him as a "gift". Big hands need the biggest possible aircraft.

Tesla Cybertruck's stiff structure, sharp design raise safety concerns - experts
Safety concerns...who would have thought? This cannot be an actual recent concern. Everybody could see the safety issues from the day it was unveiled...
Good thing safety regulation is the reason why we hopefully will not see this monstrosity on EU roads.

2024 Bahrain Grand Prix - [POST RACE] discussion thread
I went on to do other stuff around lap 35...I get why Max hates 24 races if you only need 12 or so to become WDC.
RBR already miles ahead and getting an update in round 4 (Japan). Grim outlook for neutral fans of the sport.
Congratulations to Max for winning his 4th championship.

What tv show has the best theme song?
Star Trek: Voyager. An absolute masterpiece. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, X-files, Baywatch.

I'm starting to wonder if they've thought this out.
It's definetly dark on the other side of our flat earth.
And to prove I'm right: dark side of the moon by pink Floyd. The moon is also flat. Someone is flipping all those discs (you prefer 'planets') over every 24 hours, just like flat pancakes. How can you ignore all those obvious signs.
Jeez. Those dumb round-earthers.

What is the Israel thing going on?

Just came to say thanks for the elaborated summary. Was already informed about the greater outlinings, but this adds some interesting details about the conflict.
This will be a 'thing' for many more decades. The hatred on both sides is so deeply grounded...quite depressing to see.

A UPS cargo flight (UPS2976), a McDonnell Douglas MD-11, crashed at Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville, KY.
Captain Steeeve made video about this crash. This man does a wonderful job explaining these things in the most respectful and objective way possible.

Why do you use the distro you use?
Fedora Gnome. I like it and it just works for my daily office use. I don't have the time nor the mental strength to fiddle with different distro's on a regular basis.

MAGA crowd boos Trump for saying he supports abortion in cases of rape and incest: report
When I saw this post scrolling by the thumbnail really got my attention...
That little piece of black mic in front of his nose...it just reminded me of some figure from the not so distant past...he also rallied huge crowds and they were all cheering for every single word he said.

Perez will stay at Red Bull [Erik van Haren for Telegraaf.nl]
Perez out, Ric in. Law in vcarb. Ric not performing > exit end of season back to 3rd driver or elsewhere (outside F1). Law or Tsu promote to RB
From the outside, looking at it as a couch analyst, that looks like a slam dunk solution.

You are forgetting the Carlos Sainz las Vegas incident. Car damaged due to track issues (some cover sucked out), needed to replace several parts, went over limit in spare parts = grid penalty.
Stewards acknowlegd this was not his/Ferrari's fault and thus had common sense, but the rulebook did not foresee any exceptions for this scenario. So they felt obligated to apply the rulebook.
This is a case where they also literally apply the rules.

Liam Lawson wearing his AT race suit
White power ranger vibe.
Interesting to see how he holds up aigainst Tsunoda. Marko will be monitoring every steering move he makes.
Possible RB scenario for 2024:
Per out, Ric in. Law in, Tsu stays.
Don't think Tsunoda has what it takes (now) to withstand the enormeous pressure at RB. Still needs some maturing.

Adrian Newey, team boss, the first to get down on his knees (literally) to improve the team's situation.
Or AM is massively sandbagging Or AM is massively behind
General consensus seems to be the latter. Overweight, underpowered and not so very reliable.
Imagine Honda teaming up with Alonso and ending up in "GP2 engine: the sequel"
