It always makes me sad that chess.com was the site that blew up. I always had to convince my friends to use lichess when I played back in school.

Do this if a church tells you how to vote

You've never been to a cowboy church in the south then. Because I went once with a friend and I swear the pastor talked more about politics than the bible.

I just started with mastodon. Lemmy I'm pretty understanding at but do you have any people/ hashtags you reccomend following on mastodon to not make the whole place feel so small and repetitive? I'm interested in pretty much anything.

The server has already been upgraded 3 times. I'm sure they'll upgrade again if they're seeing issues. They might not know if it's an external issue.

Welcome to Liftoff!
This is working great on Android. I don't even want to touch the website anymore. No refresh issue either!

Appreciation post for Liftoff not collecting user data or injecting ads.

I'm using sync and they have an option to remove ads that isn't a subscription. I'm not sure if that would prevent tracking but another commenter said it would. I'll probably see if I can get a response from the dev and find out.

They're not updating til 0.18.1 comes. The lemmy devs got rid of captcha in 0.18 and lemmy.world devs asked if they could add it back in 0.18.1 and they agreed so once that happens it will update. Said there would be too many bots without captcha.

Wouldn't it be nice if instead of just bars with alcohol, there were establishments for people to consume cannabis while eating, playing board games, and socializing?
Reply in thread
They don't post up around bars 24/7 and alcohol related dui's cause thousands of deaths a year.

Never enough of lando. This is the one I was most excited for since they announced it. Andor is my favorite but lando is what I really want to see.
