Une des solutions qui existe c'est l'isolation mais en vrai faut débrancher les émissions de co2 et limiter nos déplacements. Et sur ce dernier point, je pensais que la période du covid suffirait.

Probablement, c'est en partie pour ça que j'essaye de me tenir à distance des news, c'est trop doomiste. Je préfère jouer en ce moment u.u

Yes Lemmy communities are nice but you will notice quickly that there are part you may want to avoid. So each communities, even if they may have the same name offer a different experience. It's all up to the mod team 😅

Btw, there are other software part of the forumverse as Mbin, NodeBB and PieFed that offer a slightly different experience and UI too

We call them threadiverse or forumverse.

They are very different.

Currently Lemmy lacks lot features compared to PieFed and Mbin.

• Mbin support mastodon, tag, change link to link's title, customization...sorry i don't know well Mbin but it is a good software :)
• Piefed support tag, flair, multicommunity, temporary filters, i read the article, block downvote from people who aren't subcribed to community...
• Lemmy was there before PieFed. So it was my first software they have lot apps, lot UI.

Anyway, i recommend you testing them so you can get a better understanding on their pro and cons :)

This idea is pretty cool, i hope they will succeed to achieve that. Imo, we lack diversity on the forumverse except maybe mastodon.

It would provide an additional security layer, another governance. They could also benefit a lot from local community and can check vote, email, ip...Other have already mentionned good example with blahaj, beehaw...

On the other hand, it will render the instance more visible.

On my main instance, jlai.lu, i think we don't manage well sexist speech. They are moderated, we do our best to explain to our users what's wrong and slowly change them but we don't have the same sensibility as women.

In France, we have some nudist beach. Outside those nudist beach, wearing a swimming suit are mandatory.

Another game would be Veloren but there is no building and survival. It's a RPG so not really a minecraft clone. And i don't think they created a mobile app.

For the story, if i recall correctly, part of hexbear admins were aways so they got a paiement problem.

Their domain reseller put a bid for hexbear.net domain. It skyrocketed to 2500$. I'm glad they didn't have to pay those corpothieve.

• #room:matrix.org this one won't be possible. # is used for tags/hashtags in mastodon, one of the largest fediverse software. Currently only mbin and piefed support tags. PieFed will work on mastodon's support when API work is over. So the # may create problem later.
• @user@server why not ? We use email example to explain federation. But we could change with @ to : because we use @ for mention in lot software. :)

You can check https://chatons.org/ it's a french collective of alternative hoster that offer lots free software service. They offer nextcloud, mail and password manager i think.

It would be great to see those initiative as chatons spread to the european union :)

Another alternative, if you have the technical skill and time : selfhosting nextcloud.

They forgot some fact :

• Macron aways refused a left-wing prime minister. He refuse changing its politic and continue to destroy our public institution. Although left-wing was win with a narrow majority, the traditional process would be to accept the result and chose Lucie Castet as prime minister. Futhermore, it tooks him 2 months to choose a right prime minister. And he was exploiting grey area in the law to make its old ministers voting in the senate. Usualy, ministers cannot vote in the senate.
• Macron repeatly selected the same staff that share lot ideas with the far-right movement.

Lastly, Macron wanted the far-right movement to win the 2024 legislative. For me, the center doesn't exist, they aren't a middle ground between left and right. They are the architect of this chaos and accuse left-wing being a violent group...and many things. They should be tagged as far-center.
