Learn something new every day

Back in the day there was this thing called the game. Everyone is playing regardless of if they want to or not. The point of the game is to not think about the game. If you're not thinking about the game, you're winning. The second you think about the game, you've lost the game. Once that happens you are required to announce to everyone around you that you lost the game, making them also lose the game.

Will we eventually run out of graveyards?

Nah don't cremate. Bury the body with no box and no preservation. Get those nutrients right back into the soil as fast as possible.

How do you discourage a dog from biting while playing?

To add onto this use reinforcing language. Soon they'll start to react to the word so you will continue playing.

Well if a script uses any military equipment the Pentagon has to sign off on it. Make the military look bad and they're gonna deny your request.

Dave Chappelle fills Netflix special with jokes about trans and disabled people
Reply in thread
I love that this comes after the special where he said a trans friend defended him saying he doesn't punch down. I guess milking someone's suicide wasn't as successful as he planned so he changed course.

Legal definitions aside- what milestone made you think, "I'm an adult now."?
Reply in thread
I had something similar. My mom passed and my dad had no idea how to live without her. His life skills (outside of work) were basically laundry and making toasted tomato sandwiches. Didn't realize how adult I was until I had to teach someone 30 years older than me how to live.

‘It’s quite soul-destroying’: how we fell out of love with dating apps
I used dating apps for 10 years. Got maybe a dozen replies and 1 date. So I'm looking at like a .00001% success rate. It's heartbreaking how unattractive that makes me feel.

I liked the first one. Got super bored with the second. Never watched the third. I feel like the first one should have been the only one. It was a fine stand alone film.

I would not call the date a success lol. I tried to plan to go somewhere but the girl knew a mutual friend so she said she felt more comfortable coming over my apartment. She was adamant about being pizza (which was awful), and when she walked in she cracked a joke about how easily she could get raped. 0/10. Did not see her again.

What was the last dumb phone you had before your first smartphone?
LG enV Touch. The thing was actually awesome. Music player was dope, touchscreen worked well, full physical keyboard, and the browser could load Flash. The web browser wasn't perfect but was on par with the blackberry of the time.

Why is Bluetooth so slow?
It was designed for low power short range use. This made it ideal for electronics back in the day when small batteries with huge capacity didn't exist. It's also pretty easy to interfere with a bt signal and lower the transfer speed even more.
The reason it stayed this way is because it's not really worth the investment to make it have high transfer speeds because there are already better alternatives.
