Illinois cop charged with rape in his home

Reply in thread

he's not making a rape joke, he's referring to the fact that prisoners tend to treat convicted rapists poorly, on top of the fact that he's a cop, that means he will not be treated well and probably will get mercilessly beaten by his fellow inmates on a daily basis.. he's not saying he'll get punished with rape, he will be punished in some other way by other inmates for being convicted of rape Sexual abusers of any type usually get their asses beat in jail and this is a known fact

Lemmy active users down, comments steady and posts up

Reddit got worse and worse and worse and worse over the years. I was there since 2012 and I watched it steadily get filled with more and more toxic uninteresting idiots. I used to be able to have an actual discussion with other adults and now it feels like "summer Reddit" never ever ended. This place feels like old Reddit to me

I quit Reddit 2 years ago due to the content becoming more and more toxic (maybe it was always toxic) and I'm just so dang happy that my favorite 3rd party Reddit apps have a Lemmy client. I'm using Sync and it's like coming home. Functionally identical experience but with a cooler community.

Question about Proton

If you're doing it for a friend make sure you ASK if they want Linux, don't force it on them man that's not cool. Most normies just want to use Windows for the compatibility and ease of use (call it handholding and restrictive all you want).

Stop Killing Games delivers 'absolutely incredible' hearing in European Parliament: 'There was no [parliament member] that wasn't responding positively'

Hamstrung by being vague? Vague is EXACTLY what you want for these types of things, theres less specificity to get hung up on and reject, while the general idea can be expanded upon and legislated in detail once they agree with the core concept. Please dont listen to that pirate guy, he's terminally brain damaged.

Samsung phones have an option in the battery settings called "charge protection" and it makes your phone stop charging at 85%. Look through your battery settings to see if you have a similar option.
