Good idea, I'll try! I usually DM them a photo of their work on whatever platform they use 🙂 I buy from different artists - some sew, some knit. My wife also knits and sews sometimes, so she occasionally posts as well.
Thank you for the kind words! I agree - let's bring more niche stuff to Lemmy.

Source packages are a thing.
AUR is a repository for source packages (in Arch it's called PKGBUILD) from users. You can write PKGBUILD yourself or just download it from AUR if someone already made it.

Hat for Barbie

The purple-haired Barbie was originally a mermaid:
It's a cheap playline Barbie, but it's popular among doll collectors because of her head 😅 People usually buy her and replace the original body. I used a MengF body. Here is my old post. I covered her breasts, but there's no NSFW. You can see more photos of the body in this article (not mine!). It's in Ukrainian, but you can just skim through the photos 🙂

Yes 😅 But they aren't painted - it's just the shape. It's not her original body. If you're interested, see my this comment.

An honest discussion in the current state of the Fediverse
I recently had to use Instagram and it's actually has an awful UX. Looks like peoples just too used to it.

Mattel makes many different barbies nowadays. They identified by their faces (molds). This one is Lina 🙂
They call it "Diwali Barbie" on their website. It's made in collaboration a clothes designer. I just liked the doll.

The post I linked (the last link) contains the deleted comment from dbzero admin. And it's basically a TL;DR of the events.
Edit: Interesting, looks like the comment (and others from that person) aren't displayed on piefed.
But the person doesn't appear to be banned: https://piefed.social/u/[email protected]

They've been making collectible dolls for quite a while now. For example, my wife has Melody from "1 Modern Circle" from 2003. We're not exactly Barbie collectors, though - we just like beautiful dolls 🙂 My wife likes to make handmade stuff for them and I like to create hybrid dolls.

I didn't know 😂
I'm not a native speaker, but in doll-making communities, this word is used for the process of adding hair 🙂
