Humble Bundle's revoked all those Indiana Jones keys it gave away for free (even if it was already in your Steam library)

I feel like you struggled with your phrasing. I'll help.

Internet Archive breached again through stolen access tokens
The majority of Reddit discourse on this is wild. The crowd there is going HARD to try and paint IA in the most negative light possible.
I know we don't like Reddit here, but for example: https://www.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/comments/1g7w0rh/internet_archive_issues_continue_this_time_with/
It's almost as if the "hackers" and/or copyright holders are running that conversation.

Russia says it might build its own Linux community after removal of several kernel maintainers.
The fact that the Russian government came out this fast and said they need a version with their own commits is, perhaps, telling.

Nvidia falls 14% in premarket trading as China's DeepSeek triggers global tech sell-off
Okay, cool...
So, how much longer before Nvidia stops slapping a "$500-600 RTX XX70" label on a $300 RTX XX60 product with each new generation?
The thinly-veiled 75-100% price increases aren't fun for those of us not constantly-touching-themselves over AI.

BS from MS about AI helping an MD
Actual pharmacist here, working in pharmacy IT.
Unlike other industries, Pharmacy is not particularly thrilled about or interested in AI. In fact, my hospital explicitly blocks access to all LLMs.
I was actually kind of hoping to see what Microsoft is claiming here, and just walked away from this post more confused.

Steam Controller (2026) - PCGamer Review
I find it interesting that there appears to be a line (kids that grew up with a Nintendo DS) where people went from loving membrane buttons to hating membrane buttons.
To me, membrane buttons are an absolute Pro.

The $950 Steam Deck Apparently Isn't Too Expensive, As it Sold Out in Under 24 Hours
People are now conditioned to need INSTANT GRATIFICATION FOR EVERYTHING ALWAYS!
"I want a Steam Deck! I can't actually afford these new prices! I'm buying it anyways!"
Then retailers see the insane prices people pay for stuff without blinking. Steam Decks sell out after a 40% markup. RAM & SSDs & HDDs sell out at 4x what they sold for a year ago. So the prices never go back down.
And everyone goes full surprised-Pikachu-face when everything is now always goddamn expensive.
Show some fucking restraint for once, people!
Goddamn.

1Gbps symmetrical speeds with unlimited data for $50/mo
God I wish I lived in the 2% or so of the geographic U.S. that had access to service like this. It's $116/mo here for Comcast's 1000/150Mbps service, capped at 1.2TB. Costs an extra $30 to remove that cap.

A lot of stuff ONLY has viable Q&A discussion there....
As much as I love the idea of Lemmy, try finding active communities here for: MAME or any other videogame emulation... Plex... The breed of your family dog/cat... Most any sort of non-Fedi-focused brand/podcast/personality...
Yes, I can create a new community. Then I just sit in it by myself, and occasionally deal with spam.

Fake Pokémon Cartridge Spotted At GameStop Raises Concerns Among Retro Gamers
Someone buys fake on eBay. Plays it. Sells it to Gamestop. Minimum wage employee does not spot that it's fake and it ends up on the used game shelf.
None of this is new.

Google says it will change Gulf of Mexico to 'Gulf of America' in Maps after government updates
Reply in thread
Obama renamed Mt. McKinley to Denali by executive order. Trump is using executive order to rename it back.
Biden outlawed oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Trump used executive order to rename it so the Gulf of Mexico "doesn't exist". (EDIT: Actually the naming appears to be unrelated to this. The drilling ban was specifically reversed in a different executive order that reversed several Biden EOs)
It's all questionable use of executive order. But which party is going to step up and say "the last guy did it, but our guy shouldn't be able to ignore checks & balances anymore"?

Dark patterns killed my wife’s Windows 11 installation – OSnews

I believe the last time I had to do a Windows re-install, I was nagged THREE times to enable OneDrive. Each time, the opt out button was increasingly difficult to locate, and the verbiage more & more resembling "you're an idiot if you don't enable this".
Even after refusing to use it x3, once Windows was installed, OneDrive was still sitting down in the system tray, ready to fuck shit up.

MedAssist Update
Pharmacist here, struggling to find a way to keep my dad on schedule with his Parkinson's meds.
Adding an option for webhooks at scheduled dispense times would open up some cool opportunities for nerds like us to create automated dispensing units.
