It used to be we would do the economic sanctions before we would threaten to go to war. That also gives you time to make sure you aren’t going to bomb a school full of children, but whatever.

Imagine being the guy working on this and how much you hate yourself anytime somebody asks you what you are working on.

Trump wasted tax payer dollars, skipped over proven government contract bidding processes, and ended up with shit for a result. His ballroom and arch will end no differently.

Trump first said he wouldn't mention the lawmaker's name before turning to Johnson and telling him to share the story, saying the House member they were discussing would "be proud."

"Okay, well. Thank you, Mr. President. Congressman Neal Dunn of Florida had had some real health challenges, and it was very serious, and had had a pretty grim diagnosis. And I mentioned it to the president and I said, 'Congressman Dunn is a real champion and a patriot because he's still coming to work, and if others got this diagnosis, they would be apt to go home and retire,'" Johnson said.

Trump then pressed Johnson to say what the diagnosis was, and Johnson replied, "It was, I mean, I think it was a terminal diagnosis."

"He would be dead by June," Trump said bluntly.

"Okay, that wasn’t public," Johnson responded.

Wow. Just wow.

This is the small government conservatives have been dreaming of.

Why can’t he just stroke out already.

Congress extended it. Obama simply didn’t veto it. Perhaps that makes him complicit but it sailed through the Senate in a 67-32 vote which is likely to never happen ever again and a veto would only get overridden by Congress, which makes a President appear weak.
