Weightless in his Gravity

Weightless in His Gravity

This is the phrase I use to describe how it must feel to others when we try- and feel as if we are failing to accurately describe the importance of those we have lost.

It’s an almost indescribably lonely feeling.

One that we feel that only we can understand, because only we knew them. Only we loved them. And it was only us, that they loved.

How do we even begin to describe the blissful weight of all the small day-to-day things, the tiniest little nuances of our lives spent with these perfectly unique and absolute blessings? Every look they give, every cuddle they demand, every purr, every woof, every act of love, every moment of play, and even their aloofness… how are these things illustrated succinctly enough to convey the impact they have/had on us?

How could anyone possibly understand the weight in the warmth that these perfectly unique little things have brought us?

…this is why to me, it feels that everyone is weightless in the gravity of who it was that we lost.

We seemingly always get lost in our words, struggling to describe even in the simplest of terms- the importance of their existence to us. And it’s an incredibly lonely feeling when we know we’ll always come up short. Because to us, that gravity was something only we will ever feel.

Yesterday, when we were on our way from ending our boy’s suffering, I thought to myself how weird it was that no one else seemed bothered by it. How could everyone not be suffering from this devastating loss.

it was almost-

no…. it WAS, insulting.

How could they not know how special our boy was? How could they not feel this loss? How are they going on about their lives like nothing happened?

it’s because they are weightless in his gravity.

They are not missing that piece of who they are that we gave. That piece of ourselves that is immediately forfeit the moment they fell in love with his beautiful little face. They couldn’t have.

Because what Jackie gave us was for us and us alone. He saved us! Not them.

… so they will be weightless in his gravity.

When we lost our little Jackie yesterday, we lost a giant part of ourselves. And there’s a thing I do, that… well, I don’t know if it helps, because I have never not done it, but I’ll put it out there with the hope that it helps bring warmth and closure to those that feel like the gravity sometimes may be too much to bear.

One thing I do, usually as soon after as possible is that I picture them before me, standing some feet away, and they begin walking forward, after a while- they stop and turn their head to look at me, and they wait. And after a pause, I tell them that it’s okay to go now.

That there is NO way they could have done better by me. That their love, their friendship, their warmth, was the best that could ever be given. That is will always be cherished.

I tell them that it is okay for them to go now.

That I understand how tired they are. I tell them that I know that if they were given the opportunity to stay longer, I know they would in the biggest heartbeat they could offer.

But I know that this cannot be.

Then I picture them turning away, and walking until I can no longer see them.

And while this breaks my heart into a million pieces, it means so much to me to let them know that it’s okay for them to leave.

It fills my too-broken heart only some, if it is just to know that I know they knew they did oh so well at their job.

You will never be whole again.

And this is how it is supposed to be.

It’s said that we give a large part of ourselves to them and when they leave, they take most- if not all of it with them. And while this is probably the biggest reason for the pain we feel of their loss, we couldn’t want it to be any other way.

Because that would mean they the leave us without a piece of us, without memory of us of their own.

So find solace in the emptiness that is left by their passing, and know that that giant piece that is missing,

…. it will be with them forever.

Got banned by r/funny for reporting AI, which is against the rules of the sub.

I posted links to help people know that there are sites that will detect AI images, and… lo and behold, a dipshit clown for a mod banned me because I “spammed my site”.

LMAO!

The dipshit actually thought I was advertising my own website! And in true ‘puffed-chest bravado’, he muted me so not only couldn’t I point out how fucking stupid his accusation was, but that I was spamming a link to an AI detection site- ON COMMENTS MADE BY BOTS!

Man… It’s so true that any moderator with half-functioning brains have abandoned that shithole long ago.

This was too fucking funny!

EDIT: HOLY SHIT! LMAO! Get this,

So, the coward just unmuted me, wrote a few paragraphs digging further into their stupid decision, then re-muted me after telling me that my ban cannot be unlifted. What a pathetic little chode!

I was probably one of the few people calling out the bot slop in that sub, and the only reason I didn’t mute it was because AI whack-a-mole is a weird way I pass down-time.

If anyone was wondering, the sub is r/funny. Go check out all the bot slop those clowns are too stupid to notice.

Sad little butthurt .ml admin strikes again!

LMAO! Coward little admin banned me from communities I’ve never even posted in, because I called his shit out when he tried to poke his fart-sniffer into a comment thread- now get this…. in a community on an instance he doesn’t even have authority over.

Additionally…. I don’t even see shit from .ml because I have that entire instance blocked. lol!

What a fucking joke! I’d say a bullet was dodged, but I’d never even have known it was fired to begin with had I not checked the mod log.

Words cannot express how embarrassing it must to be to walk around as this mouth-breather.

If the admins are the only ones that ever do any work on .ml, why do the communities even have moderators?

I am completely serious about this as it’s been a fundamental question I’ve had since I joined here.

The modlogs always seem to show only two people from that instance that carry out removals and bans, but there are actually mods for each of those communities that you never see issuing any mod actions.

Serious question:

Is there a reason for this? Am I missing something? I mean, I have my opinions, but I’m shelving them for the purpose of this post to just simply ask, is this purposeful in some way?

Please keep opinions civil. This isn’t to create a flame war, just to ask if there’s a reason for this because i just find it odd. Is there maybe someone from that instance that knows why that can clear this up?

(Though I did check the rules before posting, if this isn’t allowed, I totally understand,)

Apparently, due process is unrelated to an illegal deportation without due process case.

DISCLAIMER: this is not my content that was removed, I just came across it in the modlog and found it to be absurd. If it’s not allowed, I totally understand.

Reason removed was because it’s unrelated.

Unrelated…..

The guy was illegally deported without due process. And yet for some reason, suggesting so is somehow “unrelated” to a meme that is trying to say that because he is affiliated (no charges were ever filed against him for gang-related activity) with a gang, he is by default, guilty.

What’s ironic, is that the entire point of the meme is that the bullshit about him being in MS-13 is unrelated to the fact that people want accountability for this administration illegally deporting a man without due process.

This mod has definitely chosen the correct name.

And even taken into consideration that the instance is essentially a troll haven for wayward 4Chan refugees, they should still have to adhere to the rules of common sense.

As it turns out, the mods in the Reddit community are supporting bigots by shutting down posts that are trans positive:

A reddit user posted screenshots of a gas giant that were beautifully adorned with the colors of the trans flag.

This attracted bigots with their agenda to disrupt the community discussion and the mods shut it down by locking the post.

So the poster created a second one with more photos as a symbolic gesture that the message was simply about pretty planets that they felt represented them-

It too, was locked.

I made a post there proclaiming that I am leaving until I see the mods replaced with those that will not give in to bigotry, and I linked to this community with the hope that people can find a new home here.

Sooooo… welcome new friends!
