Does anyone regret deleting their Reddit account?
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/1277945
When the whole Reddit fiasco started happening, I saw a lot of people wiping and deleting their Reddit accounts and moving elsewhere, like here on Lemmy.
Now that it's starting to die down a little bit, does anyone regret doing that? Or are you glad that you took that step?

Is having an Android really a deal-breaker for some people?
I asked if people chose iPhone for the blue bubbles elsewhere a couple days ago, and while there was some good discourse on that post, the blue bubbles definitely also came up as a reason.
In my experience, when people find out my texts are green, they oftentimes would rather switch to a different platform altogether like Instagram or just not text at all.
Is this actually a deal-breaker in friendships out there?
What's your opinion on all the Reddit alternatives?

Like a lot of others, I've been looking at Reddit alternatives recently which is what landed me here at Lemmy.
How do you think Lemmy compares to Reddit? But also, for people who have tried other Reddit alternatives than Lemmy, how do they compare? What has been the pros and cons of each community for you?

This is what the official Reddit app looks like, by the way

Other than blue bubbles, why do you use iPhone?
Yes, I'm the one in the group DM that turns the bubbles green, I'm sorry.
But other than that, I don't hear many other reasons why people actually prefer iPhones over Androids. What other reasons are there?
This app.
Finally tried the official Reddit app. It's as bad as they say.
Can we settle this: how many holes does a straw have?
At work we somehow landed on the topic of how many holes a human has, which then evolved into a heated discussion on the classic question of how many holes does a straw have.
I think it's two, but some people are convinced that it's one, which I just don't understand. What are your thoughts?
People who take baths will never experience a shower thought
Baths are weird anyway.
Do lemmings actually commit mass suicide?
I've recently joined Lemmy and was reminded of this old fact I used to hear about all the time that lemmings will commit mass suicide by jumping off cliffs when they migrate (lemmings being the namesake of Lemmy, I think?).
Do lemmings actually do this? Because I think it would be funny if a social media software was named after an animal that's literally known for mass hysteria / mob mentality.
