As a black person the reading 'Of Mice and Men' nowadays probably is not an enjoyable experience. (I'm not black).

For her I'd imagine hearing certain words being read out in a white dominated class is an uncomfortable experience.

It was a classic way back then......but times have changed and it no longer deserves that accolade.

But the UK/US education system has always struggled with what makes a 'classic'. #Reading #Education #Classic

Really not surprising at all tbh.

I am currently reading 'How Westminster Works' & it's nothing short of eye opening of the ineptness of all the politicians and the current system.

I highly recommend it.

But you still had to pay for the tech installed in the toothbrush.

Try finding a good brush that doesn't have this tech installed :/

I don't. I can use a single knife and have never, I repeat, never contaminated a single jar of Marmite. #Marmite

I'm predominately a Mastodon user and I create lists.

So for example I have a list for '[email protected]' and when new stuff gets published to that community it populates my list :)

I own only one. Merchant Of Venus (original Avalon Hill) in mint condition.

Would have cost you £80 back in 90' :)

I’d recommend you read ‘Weapons of Math Destruction’.

Algorithms are usually developed with the best of intentions but no one really knows how they will behave out in the wild.

I never buy any games now until they're under a tenner.

The irony of that is I will willing spend £30-60 on #TTRPG books instead :D

If you get the opportunity I would recommend reading ‘Climate’ by Greta Thunberg. She has managed to collate a fucking great bunch of the worlds top climate scientists in their given fields. It’s pretty eye opening and shocking.

@thakur0 @sanitation Reddit also banned me for a reason that was of their own making and they refuse to take responsibility on appeal. :/
