Depending on how thorough the investigation is, how cooperative all parties involved are, and how much time per week is dedicated to the investigation we could be well into next year before anything is even announced (if anything ever is).

You're exactly right. I think the most expensive iPhones are maybe $1k USD and the cheapest are around $400 USD. Android phones range from basically free to nearly $2k. iPhone fans look at it as fragmentation (because it is) and Android fans look at it as freedom of choice (because it is).

The meme didn't mention the play store, anyone actually concerned with this stuff likely also is savvy enough to install apps without the play store.

It might have something to do with studios owning the rights to an actors likeness and voice and using them in perpetuity (and maybe even getting the actor to say and do new things with AI) with no compensation given to the actor. It was a big thing a few months ago but I can't remember what exactly it was about.
