What's your opinion on all the Reddit alternatives?

Lemmy is the closest thing yet for sure.

The main pros: decentralized*, productive conversations, no karma, open source.

The main con is that "decentralized" is a good idea, but it only works if practiced. Most people have jumped onto lemmy.world instead of spreading out. Minor cons include a lack of decent video embedding, missing some niche communities, and small bugs.

Overall I've rediscovered a lot of the internet that I had simply stopped checking because reddit took over my digital life. I read HackerNews again, the NYT, and a lot more. It's nice.

Lemmy.world (and some others) were hacked

I think this is a strong reminder: We shouldn't put all our eggs in one basket. This will happen again. Unlike Reddit, we don't need to concentrate all communities on one instance. We should all make an effort to spread out. Some other general use instances are:

Again, for those new, you can post content to any of these instances and interact with content from other instances at the same time, just like you can send an email from your Gmail account to your ProtonMail account.

Has physical therapy helped you if you’ve done it? If not have you found any specific stretches or workouts that help you?

I've had good and bad experiences with PT, my latest one with a physician who didn't seem to understand that I knew my own limits.

Strengthing is a vital part to breaking the pain cycle since being sedentary often leads to worse pain, which makes you want to do less, which makes you have worse pain... Making any progress, including in your attitude and confidence, should be celebrated!

If you're still struggling for a diagnosis, try going to a pain doctor and getting multiple opinions.

See if you can get a used Quadro P4000 from someone local to you (eBay in the US, for example). I got mine for about $80. It's basically just a GPU for video encoding, but it's done a fantastic job handling everything I've thrown at it, and it's a huge upgrade over a CPU.

You can also post on the c/[email protected] community (I hope that link works! Here's another if it didn't)

It sounds like you've got your care covered, that's awesome. I hope you find something substantial! Before I figured out the root of my issues, I spent a lot of time stressing over what it could be - or if it was real at all.

I'm taking a break from PT for now. I've got the Ring Fit game to help keep me active when the weather isn't nice enough for walks. I should probably do something more structured, but it can get exhausting
