Death of beloved neighborhood cat sparks outrage against robotaxis in San Francisco

Before anyone starts to think there's a good guy in this story:

some have taken upon themselves to honor KitKat in distinctly Silicon Valley-style ways. Zeidan (part of cats family) has released a memecoin honoring KitKat’s legacy, and also said that he was disappointed to see others launch their own imitation tokens in an attempt to profit off KitKat’s death.

He says he's going to use the money to support local vets, but why don't you just share some links to spca to donate directly, you're providing nothing but a way for you to grift by taking the money through meme coins.

"I love the poorly educated"

Another way to view this is that the poor are voting republican now. Trump won those making less than $100,000 handedly while Harris won those making above. Probably because he's offering them a solution to there problems, deport the immigrants and bring manufacturing back. His plan is dumb and won't work but at least he's putting something forward unlike Harris who says everything will stay the same.

The democrats are slowly becoming the party of the out of touch elite, and memes like this don't help. The democrats need to be putting forward solutions to those problems, and trump has shown it doesn't matter if they're viable or will actually help. If these "dumb poor people are rubes who will fall for anything" give them something to fall for. Say your going to tax the billionaires at 50% and use that money to pay for Healthcare and child care, don't cozy up to them so you can raise another billion dollars to lose another election .

This Sodastream was on sale for 1/3rd of its regular price...

Fuck soda stream, not only because there Israeli and had a factory in the occupied territories until backlash forced them out, they're also anti-repair.

I have one and one time I pumped it a bit too much and heard a pop and it would no longer work. I opened it up and found that a piece of foil had been ruptured, and found a video online of someone replacing it by unscrewing a plastic bit and replacing the foil. I eventually stripped the screw trying to get it out only to find in the comments of the video that they glue that screw in now . They don't sell a replacement part for it either so I eventually just had to use hot glue to seal it, which doesn't feel safe.

The foil seems designed to pop as a safety pressure release mechanism, but it basically bricks the unit afterwards and you have to buy a new one.

‘The Movement to Convince Biden to Not Run Is Real’

Bidens about to go down as one of the worst Democrats in the last century because of his hubris if he doesn't. His decent domestic agenda will be overshadowed by him ushering in another trump presidency by ignoring all the signs for him to drop out. He didn't early last year when polls repeatedly showed that people thought he was too old. He didn't when unnamed democrat was leading him by 10 points. He didn't when his Gaza policy alienated large chunks of his base. If he doesn't in the next couple weeks when there will probably be polls coming out showing majority support for him stepping down then he's gone full head in the sand.

It's like RBG all over again, if these people could just get it through there heads to quit while there ahead they could preserve a decent legacy, instead of tarnishing it by leading the way to a regressive order that overturns everything they've done.

Trump Turns Bitcoin Into Test of Patriotism

Trump said in a Truth Social post Tuesday. “Biden’s hatred of Bitcoin only helps China, Russia, and the Radical Communist Left. We want all the remaining Bitcoin to be MADE IN THE USA!!! It will help us be ENERGY DOMINANT!!!”

Didn't COMMUNIST China ban it mostly because it was putting strain on their grid? Not sure how wasting states worth of electricity to fuel a glorified ponzi scheme is going to help with energy dominance but who am I to question the self-proclaimed genius.

I mean you probably are a communist to this guy. If you mace him and he can't insult you based on your race / ethnicity then he'll probably just call you a communist.

Coconuts 🥥

According to wikipedia this is the less likely and imo less interesting explanation. They did find coconuts that are genetically distinct from the ones the Spanish brought over from the Philippines, but those ones are more distantly related to the ones in polynesia so they probably didn't float over. Instead they are more likely evidence of pre-columbian contact of Polynesians with south and central America, along with sweet potatoes originating in South America but being present in polynesia and SEA prior to columbus.

So this would boot Columbus off the podium in people who discovered America.

  1. Bering strait people / native American ancestors

  2. Polynesian people

  3. Vikings, Leif Erickson

  4. Columbus

Well, if thems the rules...

Wouldn't this just mean no one's a male or a female. I get that we develop female characteristics first in utero, then go to male if the y chromosome is there in most situations, but thats later on. At conception, the only cells you're producing are undifferentiated stem cells, not reproductive cells.

So trump just abolished gender?

Unhinged Republican candidate calls Kamala Harris a "little wh*re" as GOP descends into misogyny

This is the same candidate who filmed an ad where she is running with a bulletproof vest, a pistol and a rifle down the streets and then says "in America you can be anything you want, so don't be weak and gay" and tagged Andrew Tate on it.

It seems she's amping up the Marjorie Taylor green strategy of saying the most outrageous offensive shit to trigger the libs and rally her bigoted base.

$5 says she calls Kamala's VP pick a pedophile.

Thailand Bans Advertising for Toddler Milk

So it seems they invented a new category "toddler milk" full of added sugar and fat to hook the child and make them cry and pester there parents until they buy more and the child becomes obese before they can even say a word.

And the u.s. is mad the milk companies can't push their baby drugs.

Splat

Hate to be that guy and ruin everyone's fun but this is science memes, dinosaurs like that would not have there head up like that. They rarely raised there head above there shoulders.

According to Kent Stevens, computer-modeled reconstructions of the skeletons made from the vertebrae indicate that sauropod necks were capable of sweeping out large feeding areas without needing to move their bodies, but were unable to be retracted to a position much above the shoulders for exploring the area or reaching higher.

Yeah, that classic image of tall sauropods 🦕 is probably wrong. Also like someone else mentioned they wouldve probably lowered there head anyway to vomit.
