The update experience with the immutables makes sense, but I've never had a problem with arch in over 3 years (though I do update regularly). Is it more of the issue of manually updating?

That's fair, my tire settings need reset a few times per year. I don't have the ac problem, but the sound for the speakers doesn't work maybe once a month for some reason. Like I said, definitely quirks, but much better than my experience with the kia.

The things I don't like on the kia are deliberate design decisions (or perhaps wild after thoughts in design) that I have to deal with every single time I drive it. I'm in the camp that think cars headlights should basically work like motorcycle headlights. If the car is running, the lights are on. There's basically no reason to have them off in general use, it only makes you more visible, even in nice weather.
