Which healthcare would you choose?

I get the message. But this is incorrect. You don’t have shorter wait times in the US.

In Canada some wait times, for non-emergency procedures and in high traffic areas are publicized, usually by the forces who would benefit from privatization.

I can quickly counter those anecdotes with anecdotes of my own: I have never waited long for medical care because I live in a low traffic area and I don’t seek low priority medical care.

What you actually have in the US is a greater opportunity for shorter wait times as the result of paying a premium…but you also have longer wait times and people foregoing care entirely that they would receive in Canada.

Tim Pool is struggling for relevance after he got his spigot of Russian money cut off.

I don’t know if somebody fired a gun or made some sort of noise near his home…but I certainly know that Tim is disingenuous and a liar and I don’t doubt he would sensationalize, exaggerate or completely invent an event to improve his ratings now that he has to rely on listeners to make money.

ETA: never mind…he didn’t even call the cops. It’s made up.

Is Trump *trying* to lose the midterms?

Many people are underestimating how much red and purple states are going to suppress blue votes. This is without the SAVE act suppressing an unprecedented net amount of democratic votes.

Previously we were looking at a base 3 point advantage for republicans…people got used to that. It’s estimated Trumpism expanded that to about 5% the last election…going forward it could be 8 or above. The Democrats will never will again if the save act passes. It’s just numbers.

TSA announces $45 fee for travelers with no REAL ID

It would only make sense if it was a one time fee, and you got your ID as a result.

We also know it’s not about security, or you couldn’t fly without one.

We know it’s a cash grab because they’re counting on a “built-in” amount of flyers who won’t have or will refuse to get ID with privacy issues. If, by some anomaly, more or all flyers acquire the ID, then we’d see maintenance fees added and the fee itself increased to maintain revenue certainty - but who are we kidding, those things will eventually happen anyways.

Why do conservative Albertans admire Texas ?

It’s not just Albertans…it’s many, if not most, conservatives. My neighbour in Ontario idolizes Texas and even flies it’s flag. My sense is it’s just team sports…ideology…partisanship. These folks aren’t honest with themselves, and we can’t expect them to be honest with us.

This behaviour from conservatives obviously begs the question: Why don’t you just move to effing Texas, then? The short answer, as I see it, is because they love to troll and perform because they’ve been radicalized by their particular information bubble. They won’t admit that what they actually want is the best of both worlds: all the benefits of living in a liberal democracy with none of the repercussions or responsibilities of bigotry or stupidity (than they will never ever admit they display).

Conclusions of the study:

“Women with rectovaginal endometriosis were judged to be more attractive than those in the two control groups. Moreover, they had a leaner silhouette, larger breasts, and an earlier coitarche.”.
