1. Polling said to drop it an an unpopular issue, so they did.
2. Big donors said to drop it, so they did (whether popular or not)

All I noticed was that she had the most Republican ad campaign that I've ever seen from a Democratic candidate. She tried to get R voters for some insane reason.

(everybody knows, D or R, that you need independent votes to win an election, basic math)

Rightoids are my favorite to argue politics with, I enjoyed The_Donald on Reddit (R mods are no better).

I'd like to find a place with all flavors of politics and "neutral" mods, but that is just a fantasy it seems. Maybe try Twitter next but really I'd rather not.

You're losing voters for a reason (you being D and R parties), down to 28% of voters each, and independents are growing (44% of voters).

If the Democrats ever want those numbers to go up, they should do what the voters want (higher minimum wage, universal healthcare, term limits, ending congressional trading, age cap, and so on). .

All of the moderate/liberal Jews/Christians/Muslims provide a veneer of respectability for their monstrous Abrahamic faiths, a mask.

However, the Tanakh/Bible/Koran are all fundamentally fundamentalist. All three frequently take delight in the murder of others, all three provide justification for a horrifying amount of violence and injustice, and, most importantly, all three teach their followers that they are morally, spiritually, and intellectually superior to non-believers.

They will always produce the same fanatical acts from their fundamentalist followers who are inspired by their Holy books and do as directed by God (including Zionism, Al-Qaeda, and the KKK).

They can't be eliminated, unfortunately (fundies love martyrs). But... the least we could do is tax them. As it is now, we (everyone else) are funding faiths that despise us all, these religions that say that we are all shit should not be supported in any way.

What's the disagreement? He won the election, that was their ad campaign. Trump catered to his base to get the vote out, it's all pretty straightforward to me.

I don't think Trump personally cares, he just took the "easy mode" option for him that won't cost him any donors or voters.

Some Ds will use this issue to their benefit, some will distance themselves. it all depends on what their "market" is. If polling says drop _____________ to win, they will, ______________ being any issue. Trans is a popular issue in say New York City, not so much in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Democrats will drop trans if their donors say so, just like they abandoned labor. bOtH pArTiEs do what their "donors" want, they don't have any actual bedrock issues other than "money".

They just won't make The Sims.

The Saudis won't touch it or anything like it. They have the death penalty for adultery, The Sims is unacceptable (at least, the sims that we know).

Sims is a US-market-game that is against Islamic law.

Instead, they can make FIFA and other sports games and shooters. I doubt they'll even make RPGs as we know them, Baldur's Gate 3 for example would not be made in a Saudi studio.
