Ah it's all good it's holding on with the power of sheer will... Plus it was flexing that bad before the hardware got put on it and barely moved after.. I hope..haha

What's a big tech product that you actually find useful?
Honestly.. I might get some pushback for this but Chromecast audio. Being able to get full home audio streaming for a fraction of the cost of a normal system with a few of those and a few old hifis. Worth it for me

Apologies Mods I just realised this might fit better in a homelab community, please remove if it is not suitable

This is actually my second foray into IT work. I went to college for software development, failed that, went to work as a printer technician, left that, went into retail and now I am here. Thanks!

What are some good games with a creepy/eerie atmosphere but not outright horror?
Firewatch is a good example of this. Wandering round an empty forest, seeing an evergrowing forest fire all the time. It's quite eerie but not outright horror.

Be honest, do you still use reddit?
Now and again I jump on for niche information for my hobbies. But only on desktop, and only on old.reddit.com

Beginning to move my posts from Reddit. This is the aftermath of trying to get a model 30 to read a 1.44mb floppy drive and a cf card
If anyone is needing it Stephen D does have a project to help a ps2 read a stanard floppy drive...I just haven't got around to actually figuring it out again - https://gitlab.scd31.com/stephen/ps2-floppy-converter

Hey that's my old CPU which I just retired from my old pc. If it wasn't somewhat set aside for a pc for my SO it would be my new video encoder. The two servers I do have running do have some issues. The proxmox machine has a dead RAM slot and several dead fans or dead fan connectors. (Enough run to keep it cool at least). The Truenas box keeps showing an error with the second PSU and the vga out does not work (Either on front or back). Both work well enough for me.

Unfortunately due to the 720kb drives and the meager specs I couldn't get os/2 to install and run. Got pc dos on these and os/2 on the 57sx

Ah it's on three bits of wood screwed into the wall. Can still unscrew it and flip it over though so I may do that.

Those are the best places to find hardware to be fair. That and ebay/Facebook around the end of the financial year

Honestly, I just got lucky with a lot of the hardware. The two Dell servers cost a total of about £140, and I got three for that money. Sadly one needs a new motherboard but the rest of the hardware works fine

Nice! That is a decent setup, what are you using it for?
