Pretty sure the point of creationism is that everything was put on the earth when it was created, including fossils etc. You can't argue this with logic. My favorite spin off of this is Last Thursdayism where the earth was created last Thursday (regardless of what day it's now) which basically uses the same argument.

What's the wrongest thing a teacher ever told you?
You should be enjoying the school years cause they'll be the best of your life. Said by someone who very obviously peaked in high school.

Study shows EV owners have bigger carbon footprint than average because they are wealthier
Isn't this kind of obvious? But it has nothing to do with EVs themselves. If we count it like this, iphone owners should also have a bigger footprint. I don't think anybody is claiming EVs would eliminate all issues.

Since his divorce my father has become clingy to the point of not wanting me to go to school anymore
Has anyone else noticed a spike in posts about abusive fathers by new accounts lately that then get deleted? Especially here but in other communities as well. I'm not saying this specific post isn't real but it's getting a bit weird.

What's a great buy it once Android app?
Tasker. Basically an interface for writing scripts for your phone. Even if you don't have a use case in the beginning you'll start finding things to do with it.

What's the wildest book you've ever read?
Definitely House of Leaves. A story inside of a story, inside of a story, with all narrators being just a bit crazy. Text of different fonts, going all over the place and even upside down based on the story. Just make sure to get the physical copy.

The most annoying part is you may get this for a previous phone even if you have registered a new phone. If you really want to avoid Google's forced MFA the best way is to actually enable MFA and generate some airplane codes. Those can generally be used regardless of what Google asks at the time and you can store them offline or even memorize a couple. Probably not as secure but at least you won't get locked out.

Private schools are better, and the educational aspect is the least important factor
These are all benefits of funding, not private schools. And promoting private schools is how you get less funding for public schools.

What are some things you can/should cheap out on?
Not sure if this applies to the US but for most things you buy from a supermarket the generic supermarket brand is usually just as good or even better than the big brands. And it's usually much cheaper.
