What always bugs me about this is that they had the boys in underwear. Like, if it's fine to symbolize with clothed girls, why do you need to do it differently with boys?

Here we go again rule...

I've seen an expert say that due to the pattern of the spread it's unlikely that it is a newly mutated illness, and more likely that it is something we already know but is untypical for this region so they havent identified it yet

Pope Francis has died

The catch is that he did not appoint by ideology. His appointments were mainly based on the guys doing work for poor people, for migrants, and on them doing their jobs in the global south.

Quite a few of these he made cardinals are somewhat conservative in their views, especially regarding sexuality

How did you find Lemmy?

In the wake of the Reddit API changes, I decided to jump off that ship. Saw Lemmy mentioned but a lot of posts were painting it negatively, due to federation things and tankies. I was on Squabbles (lol) as my Reddit replacement platform for a few months before that disintegrated and then finally arrived at Lemmy.

Can someone explain PewDiePie

One thing to add to what others have said:

After having done these three or four very questionable things, people realized that YouTube's algorithm was essentially sending Pewdiepie's viewers down a radicalization pipeline. The algorithm would start recommending alt-right content to people who had watched Pewdiepie videos.

He himself still at that point made fun of the journalists who reported on this, essentially showing the stance of "I am not responsible for what my viewers do" and "I am not a Nazi and I am not radicalizing anyone".

In response to the fiverr video in 2017 he was dropped from his partner network and his Youtube Red show was cancelled midway into production. Additionally in what was called "adpocalypse", advertisers forced Google to disable ads from being shown on controversial videos.

And then in March 2019 a Nazi terrorist livestreamed himself shooting 50 people in two mosques in New Zealand. Before starting to shoot, the terrorist screamed "Subscribe to Pewdiepie!" This was the point where he finally seemed to wake up to the fact that some of his viewers actually were far-right extremists. And he stopped doing any edgy stuff that could be interpreted as being pro-Nazi.

They continued on quite long in an isolated place in northern Siberia. But since it's an isolated population of mammoths, it's kinda cheaty because this comparison sentence always makes people think "oh mammoths roamed eurasia still when the Pharaos were around!"
