Undead Zombies? No. I'm no virologist, but I've read about a Rabies variety, or certain fungal infections. Fiction-wise, World War Z, or 28 Days type "zombies", where the body is very much functioning, but the brain has been hijacked...

Probably a stupid question, but will we ever have something like a microwave to make things cold? Is there a reason this can't exist?
Refrigeration Tech here. See: Traulson Blast Chiller. I imagine there'd be a consumer version if enough people wanted them.

The name of this sub is racist or is recreating structural racism
It's "tongue in cheek". What you're implying, is all of the comedy and parodies of nazis, or the KKK throughout history is actually supporting them? No, it's making them smaller, and smaller, and completely laughable.
Perhaps we should rename it to Linux-Care-Bears. You can be Overly-Sensitive-Bear, or Whoosh-Bear.

My mom finally told me why our crazy Christian grandparents don't talk to me anymore
My mother was disfellowshipped from our Kingdom Hall, because my father committed adultery. The lesson is, don't expect even a cunt-hair's worth of logic from religious institutions.

MDMA was an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety medication in the 60's. It was only when people started abusing it, it became a scheduled drug.

The Mormon Church is buying up acre after acre of Nebraska
I used to do locksmithing work for the Mormon churches in my area (through a property management company). One thing I learned, is they own whole subdivisions of homes (100s of houses), for their members. Typically wherever the church is. They also act as a kind of HOA for those subdivisions. Always thought that was kind of odd...

What are all these revolving doors for?
Installer here. They are precisely for what the other commenter said, and for traffic control. Think of the large hoards of cattle, I mean people, that enter and exit large office buildings at the same times everyday. If they were normal swing doors, or automatic sliders, climate-control wouldn't be able to keep up, as the doors would be open the whole time.

The toll road scam: A government-made monopoly you pay for.
This shit angers me to no end. Where I live, they built this wonderful highway around the greater metro area. Said it'd be a toll road for 25 years until paid off. We're on year 29 now, because they needed to "update" it.
Then, you find out the tolls are managed by a for-profit company in Saudi Arabia...? The express lanes, that cause more traffic and wrecks than a simple exspansion of lanes, is ran buy a for-profit company, in a foreign country. It makes no sense, unless you're a fan of unregulated capitalism, I guess.

I've never had a Steam account or done PC gaming. I have a OLED SteamDeck coming, what do I need to know?
As someone else mentioned, Humble Bundle. The subscription option (Humble Choice) is a great way to get some game options on your Steam account, as well as a decent discount on all games. Not to mention the Humble Bundles themselves.
