That doesn't help solve the problem of cost though. If a university degree is going to cost $50k/year and say the govt. caps the amount of federal loans at $15k/year, that just either forces the student to get private loans or not go to college.
I think part of the mindset that has to change is this idea that college is worth it no matter the cost.

Why IBM got a reputation of destroying everything they touch?

Every large company have this aspect, but they usually have this group as part of research. These research projects are unbridled, with no concern for business. The group is measured by the number of patents they file. A separate group then picks through the research output and figure out how to monetize it.

Ok got it.
One interesting thing I found is I have a reddthat.com account and also a lemmy.world account. Using Jerboa, somehow browsing with the reddthat.com account is faster than using the lemmy.world account even if I'm browsing lemmy.world communities.

The price of a cinema ticket in this day and age. No wonder people aren't going to the cinema anymore.

You don't need to pay for the stubs membership. Just sign up for the basic stubs which is free and the fee is waived. They get your email and can send you marketing materials but that's easy to unsubscribe.

If you watch the matinee shows, it's much cheaper. And you sign up for the basic stubs marketing thing and the convenience fee is waived.
I just paid $45 for 2 adult, 2 kids tickets for Indiana Jones at AMC.

Eh, they can do what Google did with Android. It's open source in name only.
