Students arrested in California and Texas; Netanyahu compares campus protests to Nazi Germany

The appropriate, historically accurate comparison is to student protests against South African apartheid and he knows it. Reportedly, those very protests grew into the strong boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement that ended apartheid in South Africa. This is what he fears and what corporate media is actively trying to prevent.

Only people with no information on either the actual history or current situation are going to fall for this baseless slander. Sadly there are probably still a number of those around.

A Christian ministry urged the Supreme Court to criminalize homelessness

GRM is a Christian ministry that requires all residents to work for them without pay for “six hours a day, six days a week in exchange for a bunk for 30 days.” They also cannot look for outside work during that month. That’s not all though. They must also attend church every Sunday (from a pre-approved list); Unitarian services are not acceptable. And they have to attend a chapel service twice a day. And they can’t smoke or drink. And they can’t have sex during their stay

So it's a cult. Why are cults allowed to pull crap like this? This kind of thing should be prosecuted.

Looks like I found "blue MAGA"

It's also reported here. This fits with the reports of complaining that Democratic Congresspeople have been doing about the progressive wing of the party wanting them to fight back against DOGE. They and party leadership may well be aiming to not just talk like it, but fully become the new Republican party, in hopes of having a stampede of "moderate" Republicans who aren't happy with Trump come their way.

Big data centers in Florida must pay full power and infrastructure costs under new law

Buried near the bottom:

At the same time, the law lets local governments enter into non-disclosure agreements with companies for up to a year, temporarily limiting public access to details about proposed projects.

Hiding water usage is apparently a standard tactic the proponents of these projects use so they can straight up lie about their drain on the environment. I also didn't see anything in the article about any kind of pollution.

DOGE is hiring. The response did not disappoint.

After the Trump administration warned federal employees of “adverse consequences” for not reporting colleagues resisting orders to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion programs, citizens began submitting false reports to the special email account: [email protected]. Here’s one example: “A man named Donald Trump is doing affirmative action for billionaires and oligarchs against the mandate to stop hiring minority groups.”
