US cuts off intelligence sharing with Ukraine

I'm born and raised in Europe but my father is American (he moved here a long time ago sick of the US) and I inherited the citizenship. Every single day I feel more and more ashamed of it, but I the process to lose it is cumbersome and expensive. The US was never a bastion of goodwill, not at all... but I'd never imagined that this is the path the country is taking at such a horrendous speed

Britons who want to rejoin EU at highest since 2016, survey finds

So far it has been a shitshow, the only good reason to leave the union is because you want a more ""radical"" (I can't find the right word, daring maybe) free trade policy to get super cheap goods, remarkably agricultural ones from the Americas - otherwise you're just better of inside the EU. I found it hilarious when they were establishing the terms for the Northern Ireland/Republic of Ireland border, saying that NI could be in a privileged position having access to both the British Market and the European one... Which is just what you get when you're inside the EU lmao. And if they wanted more independence they could've joined EFTA - but of course that was never the point

Rent requirements in the US are nuts

Reply in thread

It depends, in Spain there's a thing called Seguro de Alquiler, (Rental insurance? Not sure the specific name of this service in the US). If the landlord offers a place for rent and has a rental insurance involved, giving them false documents could get you in trouble because of contracts and stuff. But, if the rental is done through a Real State Agency and the realtor (or directly through the lanlord) just asked for it to see but no mention of it in the contract then I think you could get away with it

Is there a food that is cheap, delicious and healthy at the same time?

Reply in thread

Im not an expert but people argue that bread and esentially most products whose base is just flour aren't good. The reasoning is that those are carbohydrates that just add calories and nothing else (protein, vitamins etc...). So eating 200kcal of tuna is healthier than 200kcal of bread since those calories come with Proteins, phosphorus, omega 3 a bunch of vitamins etc. Whereas bread/tortillas are (basically) just carbohydrates which arent bad by themselves, but also arent good in excess

I own a 6700xt and also play in 2k - there's a great price quality relationship with this card and it performs great. This card will absolutely do the job and way more than enough - Unless you want to experience ray-tracing or VR but also linux sadly is not the best platform for those features
