I just had to shoe cement the sole back on my Timberland Pro boots that I’ve only worn a handful of times over the last two years. Cheap crap.

I was kicking old and rotted wooden spindles off of a deck we were replacing with the steel toe. It knocked the sole of 2/3 of the boot in the process. The leather has some good marks where you can see the hits were generated. I know it wasn’t the best way, but it was like punching through a wet paper bag with how rotted they were. Ugh.

Does this continue to work at scale? Making everything proportional and such... I would guess they had to significantly increase the jet propulsion to compensate.

I recently (early January) went back to play through the original. It's still gorgeous on a RTX 4080 super. I guess if it sparks the interest of younger players it isn't a waste. Otherwise, I can only thing I can think of is that they were about to lose trademarks or copyright if they didn't produce something for the IP. Slop, as the kids say.
