This Southern California solar farm is using retired EV batteries for storing the power and then send to the grid when needed. This way the retired batteries can extend their usefulness for several...

Yea, back in the day, when first phones and laptops were coming out, the tech was different, and was better to fully discharge/charge the battery. Nowadays it's the opposite, but the mith still survives
An easy analogy for batteries nowadays is to see them as an elastic completely relaxed at 50%. At 0% or 100% the elastic would be fully stretched. You want to avoid that to maximize its life

How familiar are you with torrents? I can send you an invite to a private tracker full of 4k remux documentaries.. I just think you are better with 1080p if watching on a laptop. For me at least, I can't tell the difference (and I have a 4k screen on my laptop)

Migrated from Windows to Linux. Decided to share list of answers/statements I was looking for before did it (and could not find).
Do you have a secondary monitor? How do you handle sleep? Using laptop? How do you close your lid and get everything to hibernate/sleep? Those are my biggest gripes right now

Mathematicians Have Found The Ninth Dedekind Number, After 32 Years of Searching
Reply in thread
"Resource requiring" and "hard to do" are kind of the same in math's terms. Most unsolved math problems are either because we lack the resources, we lack observation (in case of phisics) or we lack both.
hat useful purpose does these Dedekind numbers have? Nothing, just like when lasers were first discovered (now we use them for medical and tech purposes)

Plex/Jellyfin Transcode Performance on x86 MiniPCs or a ZimaBoard
Go for the second hand 1l pcs. They are better and cheaper (but less sexy) than the zimaboard. The ones with a i3-7100T should handle like 10 transcode, if 1080p. Chrapes I've seen on ebay was a prodesk 50bucks. But it's a rare deal

How do you count with automatic shufflers though? Even if you count one hand, the next one one you'd have to reset..

From my experience it's different servers, but it might depend on your location. It's the twitch ads that come from the same server as the video stream. Those are harder to block.

Saw it, felt like the less Finchery of the Fincher movies. Still liked it, solid 6/10

Here Are The Six GOTY Nominees For The Game Awards 2023

Technically and realistically is not an old game. It's a remake not a remaster, the only thing similar with the old one is the story. Graphics, audio, gameplay are all new. In my opinion remakes should be able to run for goty. (remasters are different though)
