The Hidden Cost of the U.S. Military: The Real Budget is Far Larger Than Reported

The real religion in America is the financial system

Everyone prays to it and holds complete and total faith in it ... their faith in that system is the only thing that makes it all possible and functional. They have legions of priests, brotherhoods, churches of finance, cathedrals of corporations and basilicas of banking and entire congregations of millions of followers who all pray to this system each and every day. As long as they all believe and hold faith in this system, it stays alive and continues to grow, even as it eats up all their lives and everything they own.

And the ending is also tied to their faith.

As soon as enough of them stop believing in it ... the whole thing will come crashing down.

So keep praying to your church of finance America ... it's the only thing keeping it alive.

The Hidden Cost of the U.S. Military: The Real Budget is Far Larger Than Reported

It is and it isn't ... the whole system can be explained away as just runaway greed and organized chaos ... but there is a large portion of it that exists just out of the sheer will and faith of a majority of people. Much of the wealth that exists doesn't truly exist, it's just promises stacked on promises stacked on promises backed by the faith of everyone that those promises are legitimate, even though they all know that none of if can ever possibly be repaid. It's a faith based system.

Just god screwing with us again

That's also hilarious logic .... God creates man in his own image ... God creates woman because 'reasons' and makes the decision to give her an opening that physically compliments his appendage ... then places them both in a garden where they are completely unaware of why the anatomy between their legs is so different between the two of them. Tells the two of them not to eat this particular apple ... but they eat it anyway, so God throws an epic eternal hissy fit, throws them out of the garden because the apple has caused them to look at their junk and think that they could rub up against one another and he could penetrate her and it would be totally fun for both of them

For a guy who totally created everything in the universe ... you'd think he could be able to hit the reset button on all this and just not allow any created person any chance of gaining any kind of knowledge and just let them live out their existence like a beautiful flower or a tree and not disturb anything or anyone

Just god screwing with us again

Also creates two sexes so that there can be a complicated method of procreation ... makes the act very enjoyable ... even makes using the parts by yourself very enjoyable

Bans everyone from doing it or even thinking about it and only allows them to do it to reproduce .... watches everyone who even thinks about doing it or acting out on it

Algae, peeling blue material, conspiracy theories: Reflecting Pool takes national spotlight

Reply in thread

The dumb part is not that this orange idiot wanted to do all this.

The dumb part is that there is a large team, a huge organization, an entire community of people and professionals that enabled him to do all this and make it all possible. Everyone keeps pointing fingers at the deranged mango clown show, but people seldom think about the production crew that keep him in power and enable everything he wants to do, no matter how stupid it is.

2 in 3 Americans say U.S. democracy is in danger of failing

If you ask the fourth American, they'd probably say that US democracy had already failed quite a while ago. If you want evidence if democracy has failed in America, just look at the clown show in its current leadership and have a cursory look at what they are doing and keep doing right now.

It's probably the greatest democracy break in modern history because it's obviously broken, yet like a cowboy running the dog and pony show with the carriage on fire, no one really wants to admit that anything is wrong with this picture or do much about it.

The fact that more and more sources are saying that 'it might fail', 'it's approaching failure' or 'in danger of failing' ... is probably a sign that it has already failed.

The blue paint is peeling off the Reflecting Pool

This is all part of the circus show

mess up the reflecting pool - mess up the white house - add a boxing ring on the whitehouse lawn - turn it all into a trailer trash nightmare

All to distract the neighbours and police from the meth lab they've been building in the basement

(*the meth lab being the absolute robbery of the public purse in America)

Not a meme, I just really like this interaction.

I had an old friend years ago who worked in a paper mill. He had been there for over 30 years in all kinds of positions and at the time he was on the verge of becoming a manager with a desk job and big responsibilities. We told him to avoid the management job and to just stick to whatever he was doing until retirement which wasn't that far away from him at the time. Management would have meant more pay, more perks, more money ... but also more responsibility and more opportunities for people to blame him if anything went wrong. Besides, he was making a ton of money in the position he had at the time. We all told him to just stay where he was and he did. He was fine, he had enough money, he had enough responsibilities and he was in a great team of people he had known all his life and he was a senior level worker that everyone looked up to anyway. Within five years of making that decision, he was diagnosed with cancer and he died shortly after. But during all that time, he was happy at work, made a fortune for his family and he got to spend his free time with his family and friends. If he had taken the management job, he would have gone through tons of stress, and probably been blamed for a dozen things and a high likelihood he would have been fired and lost his benefits. It was a company tactic to place long term workers in management positions, give them too much responsibility, and get the excuse to fire them so that the company wouldn't have to pay into an expensive retirement package. It was a high risk position.

Moral of the story is ... if you get to place in life where you get to have some measure of control and you are comfortable ... stick with it because it might not get any better than that.
