But lo and behold, that happened anyways. We now have many hundreds of GWs of wind and solar.

It highly likely that something similar will happen with green hydrogen. We will have insane production capacity for it in the long run, despite how implausible it may see seem in the short run.

People worried about the grid being powered by coal, therefore justifying their opposition to EVs and other ideas. But just as the grid got greener, so will hydrogen production. So it is not something to really worry about.

Everything has an EOL. It is concern trolling to worry about it for green technologies.

Hydrogen is not a GHG.

It is storing hydrogen in metal hydrides which is very safe.

The world uses 100 million tonnes of hydrogen per year. The death rate is extremely low for how much we use of it. You are much more likely to die from gasoline or electrical fires.

just use excess electricity to make hydrogen. This actually solves the intermittency problem, among many other things that will require hydrogen in order to reach zero emissions.
