I used the reddit version long enough, I figured I'd buy the $100 ultra just to support ljdawson.

Firefox can happily lie to you and you'll buy it, you'll buy it so much that you don't see in between the lines.
bruh chill, how tf they lying? the feature works exactly as expected/advertised. it's not Mozilla's fault if people don't know how to read.

Twitter seems to ban all Threads links to reaffirm its position as a “free speech absolutist” platform
Reply in thread
are you saying that free speech as a concept was invented by the US Government? and that the right to free speech can only be enforced by it?
free speech can mean, and has meant, many things to many different people. the concept has been around for over 1000 years. there's plenty more to say about "free speech" than just the rights specifically provided to american citizens.

LOL! All of your sources are from Mozilla themselves. Delicious bias irony.
Not ironic at all. If missing the point was a flavor, you'd be the most delicious dish.
When Mozilla says that "Private Browsing does not make you anonymous on the Internet" you're saying they're lying? Are you telling me that private browsing does make you Anon? In that case you're the liar.
Of course I'm going to link to Mozilla to give an example of their claims (true or not.) maybe if you think that they're lying about the claim of "private browsing not making you anonymous" try to provide some reasoning as to why :)

Every one always talks about how piracy caused a loss in sales but no one will ever talk about the positive aspects of Piracy apart from the pirate community.
I wish that older games were still available in some official capacity. There's nothing morally wrong with pirating a game that's no longer available for sale.

The token itself is non-fungible. But most NFTs have no business being NFTs.

but then I just end up hearing the first word of each sentence as I read and it ends up like, “The… A… My… Who…. What… how…. When… over….”
for games like that, check if they have a different language that's voice acted, many RPGs will have Japanese voice acting, and that helps avoid this problem

Do you pirate? And do you justify pirating? i.e., what is your piracy philosophy?
for legal reasons, I don't pirate anything.. but a friend told me that piracy is more convenient, and that it has more benefits (like, retain 'ownership' of content without annoying DRM)
train of thought (legal): what streaming service do I need to subscribe to to watch this? okay lemme go grab my wallet and sign up for an account
train of thought (piracy): click download
if companies don't want you to pirate their media, they should make it more convenient and flexible to purchase legally. adding DRM and making things subscription-only will push more people towards piracy.

you can make "some" money back with NFTs too, since you can trade/sell them. you're very likely to lose money by buying into any random NFT project that sells you JPEGs, but there's always some idiot on opensea willing to pay something for it.

I tried explaining it in simple terms to a few non-tech-savvy friends and they said it sounded "too complicated." and they'd rather just deal with the ads than mess around with it.

I have a personal computer, but if I'm going to be sitting at my computer, I'm not usually going to be browsing social media (besides video host/stream platforms)
and I prefer not to browse social media at work using my accounts.
