You didn't watch the movie where they reveal that Eddy's brother was a abusive asshole who he was desperate to earn the approval of. His constant need to scam people and talk up his brother all stems from their terrible relationship. This culminates in the rest of the kids in the culdesac siding with Eddy when they see how his brother treats him despite literally spending the entire movie hunting him down for a scam that went too far.

The third place
If libraries were open late they would be filled with homeless people looking for a safe, warm place.
What I'm saying is we need safe warm places for the homeless AND libraries to be open late.

what are these rubber holes on the back of the pc case?
They are external ports for water cooling. They allow you to run the pipes to an exterior location, and I have never seen anyone use them ever. I would leave the rubber grommet as it generally looks nicer than the hole.

Walgreens CEO says anti-shoplifting strategy backfired: 'When you lock things up…you don't sell as many of them’
I have gone to a local electronics store, Best Buy, several times in the last few years because I wanted something immediately only to be stopped at the last moment by a locked shelf and no one around to unlock it. What the fuck are you even supposed to do there? Scream and shout until someone arrives? Quietly stalk an employee until you find your moment to strike? I just fucking leave, I'll wait for shipping.

Throw one of those bottom-corner "How can I help?" pop ups that makes the tab flash and constantly change the text in there too.

Since bits are ones and zeroes, and also mean true/false and on/off by extension, doesn't that mean all solutions to IT problems are just turning something off and on again at some level?

Americans embrace Aldi as German discounter becomes fastest-growing supermarket in US
A store you can quickly get in and out of with a variety of everyday items at a reasonable price that seems to pay its employees well. What's not too love?
Also, several in my area have implemented self checkouts that don't bitch you out for every single item. I can scan everything from my cart and bag it up later at a counter or my car if the weather's nice.

Water into Wine
Reply in thread
A quick search suggests that blood is 80% water. Turning that into wine at a weak concentration of 5.5% results in around at 14.5% BAC which is over 10 times greater than the highest ever recorded, so it would be certainly lethal.

Mate, I think they were sarcastically saying that one of the reasons there aren't government run programs to help people is the claim that churches and charities will do that instead. In this case a church attempted to do so and was instead punished, which is quite ironic if they are supposed to help those in need.
